  1. it is definitely reasonable to expect that someone who has been posting in that forum multiple times a week basically since the thread was started wouldn't have to ask questions in regards to topics that are actively being discussed.

    Again, I have not seen you in this particular forum so I'm giving you the benefit of not having been exposed to her/him before, but spend five minutes and look at the individuals history before deciding that the rest of us are unreasonable.  I assure you, she/he has been as actively involved in this thread as anyone else has from day one and has had every bit of information available to him that the rest of us do.  She/he insists on asking what essentially amounts to the exact same question every week.

     

    look through his posts again. half of the replies are insulting (IMHO). clearly he doesn't understand the answers when he gets them, and this is not a help desk. but it is a waste of space to insult people. it creates trolls, when you could just ignore them. I am visiting my family here in Colorado, not lost.
  2. so since I haven't seen you in this particular forum before, I will assume that you have not seen the numerous posts that this individual has made asking the same things over, and over, and over.

    To their credit, the inquiries have been less repetitive over the last 4 weeks or so, but what we have here is the classic Boy who cried wolf scenario.

    it is not reasonable to expect anyone to find an answer in a topic with 805 posts. of course 4g in denver is broad and watching it grow is the point. if it is not possible for a lead to switch a post to an appropriate forum then it would be better post a link to the answer. ignoring is more productive than sniping

  3. I have now lost phone service at my house in Broomfield for the last 5 days. I get voice-mails from people and I'm getting text messages 2 or 3 hours later. I've updated my profile, my prl, I've called Sprint and they don't know whats going on. Wife's phone is doing the same thing. I've put up with a lot of jokes and crappy service the last couple years but its never been this bad. I would call and bitch out Sprint tonight but I have to walk a half a mile to call them.

    could your problem be connected to the the flood ing?

    Thanks again for reaching out to me.  I took a look at the notes on the 

    Tower.  It looks like the Techs working on it had to shut it down to 

    replace multiple parts.  They have not posted an ETA for us yet, but I 

    will keep checking for you.

  5. Yea sorry, was trying to reference the complainers point about 4g being locked and claiming they couldn't go to 3g only. Which they could, as you guys pointed out.

    I am not a complainer and my 4g isn't locked.  The problem is that my phone shows bars of lte service but doesn't connect to any data.  it seems like my phone thinks it has LTE so it doesn't automaticly switch to 3g like it would if 4g was just out of range.  My S4 can switch to 3g CDMA only but it needs to reboot for each switch. It has been a challenging problem to explain to sprint and I was hoping that someone knew what the problem was.  

  6. Clearwire has nothing to do with the 4G on your S4. The S2 was the last Samsung WiMax phone.

    I realize that.  my post was an example of how difficult it can be to get something fixed if has to do with the tower instead of your phone.  Also there is a similarity with the fact that my phone shows bars of service but data doesn't work.  And since it has nothing to do with Wimax, I can't reach out to that person for help.

The biggest problem is that when I do get 4g bars - Data is blocked.  I can make a call (mostly) and SMS but no internet.  18 months ago, the same thing happened with wimax.  But with my EVO3D I could switch 4G(wimax) off and go with 3g and 2g.  It was frustrating that sprint wouldn't acknowledge it.  They sent me to the store to get the phone checked out.  I called the store to verify my appt, the guy said "Oh we don't take appts" (even though CS sets them up) then the guy said that there was at least 50 people waiting and it was definitely an outage.  Eventually a clearwire employee at a forum said they found the problem and fixed it.  My S4 won't toggle off 4G, so i'm blocked (right now) :angry:

  8. So... Getting crappy coverage in my condo in Lower Mills when I used to get full strength... Do i smell lte goodness coming soon? I hope so! Clearwire drop the ball in my area with wimax too!

     

    Really hope it's not a tower outage.

    I live on Popes Hill and I have been having a bad few days.  sprint said there was a bad tower in quincy (didn't sound right) but it is still not fixed.  sprint won't email me back and I wondering what others notice.  it is very small outage.  no problems in boston or cambridge.  What do you think this is?

     

    also what is sensorly?
