Ouch man....funny, but ouch lol. Im not trying to rant or be demanding, Im just wondering if its the actual device that has issues due to the short connects to 4G. I spoke with Sprint today and the rep was actually helpful. He educated me to the fact that there were a few issues here in Houston with the lite up of LTE and that they were working diligently to fix it. He also stated that Sprint jumped the gun on the coverage map and that he has had a lot of calls on customers complaining that the "map shows coverage, but I have nothing". Its the articles that Robert posts that help us get educated on the workings of all this stuff. I love technology, but do not know enough about the whole "network thing" to be able to post useful information, be it speculative, objective or otherwise. Now, gimme a vehicle and I'll build you a race car...gimme a Harley, and I'll make you a custom.

Im very anxious to get to test the 4G in my area and around Houston. The couple of times I did connect, it was very very slow, so Im not sure if my phone is defective or what. Maybe I should have went with the S3 lmao.

I guess its only for the S3, because I can't find any kind of settings similar on the EVO LTE. And, is it me or does the S3 seem to connect to the LTE better? I ask this because of users with the S3 are raving about the LTE, and those of us with the EVO are still trying lol.

Patients, its only been one day and things won't be perfect right off the bat. Also please remember that coverage is not 100% at this time, the signal is probably dropping because you might be just out of range of that particular tower.

I'm pretty sure...sprint did a data refresh and it connected and dropped again.....sprint reps are no help. Any suggestions?

Well, still nothing in Houston....dangit lol. Called sprint, the rep didn't even know Houston was an active market lmao

Well, mine is now sporadically connecting....only clocked 3M down....then back to 1.9M down...

 

 

I know it can be frustrating but guess what, you can come here and get just about any answer you want and get up to date information. Just imagine if this site wasn't available and you had to call sprint to get answers, now imagine how frustrated you would have been then?

There are way to many variables as to why you aren't getting an lte signal. Even though sprint is flipping the switch, the majority of sites are still in the process of being complete. First round markets won't be fully complete until the end of the year.

Very true....but the steel plate in my head lessens the strikes lol. I have to maintain patience for those things which I have little tolerance for. Its a backward balance of sanity for me

I hope that when I head to work around 3, that I at least hit a signal somewhere close to work.....Im curious how everyone else in Houston seems to be getting "blips" of LTE, yet me and Latinoboi30 can't seem to get squat.....
