  1. I'm in NW CLT near Peachtree and Sunset Rd and noticed LTE connectivity a couple days ago. I also noticed it in in the are of Oakdale and Brookshire Blvd. I just did a speed test and the results r pretty good. Glad to see Sprint finally expanding the LTE coverage.

  2. Thats real close to the area I mapped on Sensorly a couple of weeks ago' date=' I mapped it to S.Tryon/ I-485. Good to know that the tower is back up broadcasting LTE again. I think they had it operational long enough to get it accepted then it's been off ever since, hopefully they got whatever issued worked out and it will stay on.

I cant tell by your info if you have an android phone or not but if you do download the Sensorly app and you can map the areas in Charlotte you find LTE. It's a great way to track the progress of LTE deployment in the area.

    Thanks for the update ![/quote']

Thanks for the app recommendation. Pretty cool.

I hope it starts to deploy in more locations as my 3g data speeds have been a lil slow these last couple of months.

I'm on an rooted, S-off'd, EVO 4G LTE, running MeanBean 1.0!

I just downloaded Sensorly. Thanks for the info!

What's with all the drama? Don't be ridiculous. Its not an issue of "if.". Only an issue of when. Even Sprint doesn't know the exact time and date markets 3-4 months out will be ready to launch. Just approximations.

Even Verizon didn't announce specific launch dates that far out. They gave generic "end of the year" type projections to give themselves enough room to encounter problems that could arise.

You are not being realistic at all.

Not trying to be dramatic. I hope we all get it soon. But realistically speaking, there were locations slated for 4g but never got it. All I'm saying is that no one truly knows.

The schedule is based on info provided from backhaul vendors as to what sites would be ready and when. Then NV OEM's and Subcontractors took that data and created the schedule. There is likely to be variability where some sites are ready earlier than planned' date=' and some later. This gets more and more complex depending on the number of backhaul vendors there are in a market. Most markets have more than 3 vendors, and some have more than 6. And also, some markets are sticking to the schedule better than others.

However, with so many past due sites in each market, the validity of the initial schedule has been all but completely breached at this point. If there have been updates to the market schedules, I haven't received them.

In other words, no one really knows when/if we're getting LTE?!

  6. I hope Charlotte gets an upgrade. Was at CIAA back in late Feb and my coverage in the city was attrocious. I had absolutly no reception in buildings. Yes the city was gridlocked but my friends who had verizon was still able to use thier phones while i was left in the dark having to go outside to get any coverage.

I didn't recieve text until hours later

+1, I reside in Charlotte and experienced this as well. I'm thinking the area will experience network upgrades as part of the NV rollouts as well as hosting the DNC. Hopefully the network will gets better soon.
