Exciting news but what map are you referring to?
A Sprint internal map im guessing? My Sprint engineer friend sent it to me last week.
-
LTE at White Rock park in Rancho Cordova to about Mather & Mills Tower. FINALLY. Just saw a map with towers that have upgraded equipment as well the ones that haven't been touched. My house near Bradshaw & 50 is screwed. Awesome sprint....
-
Good info. I appreciate it.
-
Which means LTE would suck on old connections as well I'm guessing? Last question - What's the average time from accepted to LTE deployment that you've seen?
-
Thanks. And 3g data & voice should be improved in these areas right now?
-
Ok. Does this mean all the towers in the listed cities have been launched? And 3g data & voice should be improved in these areas right now?
-
Cough Cough Cough
Folsom, Rancho Cordova, Orangevale, Fair Oaks, Citrus Heights, north North Highlands ...
Elaborate please
-
No, I am getting 1x800, which I am sure is increased voice quality. LTE typically comes very soon after this is established. Right now, it is safe to say LTE is imminent and soon.

Hmmm... I guess that's progress? I just messaged my Sprint friend to get more info on what took place overnight, what towers it happened to and when we'll finally have some Damn LTE. This is getting ridiculous.
-
You are still in Rancho if you are on the east side of Bradshaw, but signals know no boundaries. The tower you get signal from may be in Rancho.

So are you getting lte?

So what does that mean? Lte? Enhanced 3g? I live near Bradshaw & 50. Im now realizing that might not b considered Rancho. Just a lil pissed right now..Ranchoooooooooo!!!! Two towers with NID2xx!! Also picked up 1x800 off the tower on Coloma R
Wooo!!!! All I had to do was leave my house.

*shrug* It's the norm around Rancho. Waiting for the rest of the area to be ready for a cluster launch.
It's alright - you don't have to provide an explanation for Sprints Sacramento/Rancho execution. All I know is it's 2014. I was done getting "excited" back in May of last year. I don't care anymore about seeing lifts by towers, issued permits, updated maps, internal rumors from contractor buddies and such.
Instead of being excited when that 4g icon pops up one my two year old LTE sprint device, I'll feel more like it's about damn time. For those who are gonna get all hurt about this coming across as a rant - OptimismYaySprintIt'scomingSoonIBelieveitinmyHeartHappy. There. Non rant.
-
Nothin. Not a G'Damn thing. 2014 and no LTE. Happy Tuesday folks

Guess what lit up on my phone here in Rancho gang???
-
-
So what does this all mean in regards to when scramento/Rancho will get lte?
-
Somebody recap things for me. Last time I posted everybody got upset about me stating my CRAPPY experience with sprint. Because it's November now and everything about my sprint experience is still CRAPPY. I remember reading on this site that October was supposed to be an exciting time for lte in Sacramento/Rancho. Did that ever happen and I just don't have a triband phone to experience it or something?
**Disclaimer**THIS IS BY NO MEANS A RANT please don't get upset and/or hurt.
-
Touche' player. Next time I'll leave out the rant tags and nobody will notice lol

"Sprint doesn't read sites like this and think, "Oh my gosh. It was our plan to do this slow and drag this out as long as possible. But now I read how some people cannot stream Spotify consistently in the Eastern Sacramento Metropolitan Area on S4GRU, so I think now I will actually speed up."
And that was never the context of my post. What I do know is Sprint has web/social media liaisons (or whatever official title) that look for opportunities to address issues customers may experience. If they see fit to what I equate as spam via push notifications, emails, inserts - whatever, It may be as equally beneficial to give more pertinent info specific to the market they're spamming.

seriously?
Yes seriously. This has been my experience as a sprint customer. Did I say or do something wrong?
-
I hope Sprint looks at websites like this. It's sad that customers are having to hang on to any bit of perceived progress, testing or possible upcoming deployment of what every other carrier already has. I get pissed when AT&T announces new markets every month while Sprint announces nothing but a bunch of backwoods places.

Don't know if this is old news, but I got lte while working ata jobsite next to Foodmax on sunrise in citrus heights. Only had 2 bars while in the parking lot.
On another note - when is Rancho gonna get lte?! Not "new Rancho", but Olson & Zinfandel Rancho. Cordova High Rancho. I drove up to a tech working on a tower back in May (Coloma & McGregor) and he said it would be live in "2 weeks". Yeah right. One of my clients is a Sprint employee who originates/retains Sprint business customers. She indicated by the end of August.August is outta here in 4 days..
-
I just came back from taking a ride to check it out. I got LTE down old placerville and systems pkwy, along some stretches of Rockingham and Mather, down to international and Zinfandel. I'm hoping they start flipping all the switches asap and blanket all of rancho. It's been like 2 months since I yelled up to some techs on Coloma & McGregor saying it was gonna be up back then.
