We haven't been able to send text messages or make or receive phone calls since around 4pm today
-
Something must be wrong with the tower down the road all of a sudden I have crappy signal and I'm on 1x.
-
I don't. Can you do that on the iPhone?
-
Maplewood - Diane @ Maplewood just went live with LTE tonight.
-
Not sure what you are considering the West but there really isn't a west site to speak off and the nearest doesn't have any equipment to turn on. Unless of course you talking about the I-10/Ruth one.
I'm an idiot I meant the East end. I live off of Hazel St.
-
I'm glad to hear it. Hopefully, they'll turn on the West side of town soon.
-
I was able to pick up a weak lte signal around the hospital in Sulphur. Maybe the tower is around Ruth st.?
-
It's officially announced today Beaumont/Port Arthur and Lake Charles all have LTE now.

Does anybody think that the 4G rollout in LC will include Sulphur?

I'm sitting here at work today and my phone is constantly switching between 3g and roaming. I've never had an issue with roaming before. Upgrades coming soon to the Westlake area? https://maps.google.com/maps/myplaces?ll=30.232356,-93.284451&spn=0.007304,0.013078&ctz=300&t=m&z=17

Why is there no Sensorly app for the iPhone? Apple's restrictions?
-
Please post a screenshot of the lte engineering screen. ##debug# on the dialer, the code is 777468 (sprint) then pick LTE engineering.
Sorry, that came from my daughters phone. I asked her to do a Speedtest while we buckled in her sister.

And that's almost the max you will see. The 5mhz of spectrum allows for about 37 megabit down.
Looking at the LTE signal numbers in the top left of the screen I can see it was taken very very close to the active site. LTE is very dependent on signal strength but usually even in the fringes that 2 or 3 megabit is better than the Evdo speeds.
We went on vacation to Baton Rouge back in May and my daughter was getting these crazy speeds on her S3. I cannot wait til I get an LTE phone and it goes live everywhere in the Lake area.
-
Nothing yet.
Here's a speed test from the site by my house.
WOW!!!! The upload is 3x faster than my speed at home.
-
Lake Charles is live! Still have a ways to go, but it's about damn time.
Any hits in Sulphur? Do you have a Speedtest screenshot?
-
We now have 4 LTE accepted sites, but still not transmitting LTE. Hopefully this turns around soon...I don't like to be teased.
What does "accepted" mean? Does that mean there's LTE equipment installed but it's just not live yet?
-
Lake Charles has their first 4G LTE site accepted:
This is great news. I'm not a Sponsor member but it is awesome that there is finally some network development in the Lake Charles/Sulphur/Westlake area.
-
I'm not even a mile from the Maplewood tower. Thanks.

I've been getting a ton of dropped calls here recently. The sound is fine and then it just drops. Is this a result of the Network Vision upgrades in progress?
