The G2 will likely be my next device. I plan to pre order in October depending on the specs released prior to that.

That's laporte Indiana right? I would think you would have 800 voice since south bend has 800 voice and so does Chicago. I'm not sure which market you fall into. I was just over in Michigan city but I didn't pay attention to signal stuff yesterday.

Yes, Laporte area. I don't think 800 voice is transmitting yet, since my friends have newer phones that support 800 MHz and there signals are as weak as mine.

I just wish Sprint and softbank can keep us updated with 800 1x rollout and can give us a concrete date when they plan to roll out 800 LTE and deploy more of 2.5 LTE too.
We only get some of that information during their quarterly conference calls.
You and me both. 1x800 is by far the most important for anyone living outside metro areas.

I too have interest in CDMA 800. I live in a rural area of zip code 46350, and coverage is non existent, so relying on a airave is essential. Having the old EVO 4G, I find myself waiting for confirmation that 800 is up and running before I upgrade to a phone that supports it. If anyone knows what the status of CDMA 800 in my area is, please let me know.

Verizon has nationwide AWS 1700
T-Mobile has nationwide AWS 1700
AT&T has some AWS 1700
Your phone supports CDMA 800 SMR/850 Cellular/1900A-G PCS and LTE 1900 PCS. This is as advanced as any phone out today on Sprint's network. Many Wimax phones support CDMA 800 as well.
tri band devices are right around the corner, probably coming on the next wave of phones for the holidays.
We have a dated EVO 4g phones. In my rural neighborhood we have no signal and rely on a airave, I assume, by your statement, once cdma 1x800 comes online we may finally have a usable signal outside of the airave coverage.
Everything 800mhz (1xA, LTE, coverage, timeline, etc)

I just made and received the first voice calls (ever) from within my home without the Airrave. 800 is up and running finally in Laporte IN.
