  1. There is that one, but more specifically I was talking about the one on 65 right by Cheese Factory Road. There are a few of them that I think are really messy for upgrades and it's pretty annoying because the competition all has LTE in those areas.

yeah its a bit frustrating for sure. I have my hopes up that Sprint will deliver eventually and give me my LTE where I live. I work right in my neighborhood. I stream Music most of the day. But even with the improved 3g network I can have buffer issues, and also if I have my music going, forget browsing or checking my email. not enough bandwidth.

  2. I am pretty sure the one tower I was wishing desperately they would upgrade for a while was built into a silo on a piece of farm property on top of a hill. Pretty ingenious, but if it's causing upgrade problems...

ryman101 are you talking about the silo on 444 in Victor? I have been waiting for that one, and the one on high st for 2 freaking years.

  3. Thank you Mr Nuke for the right answer.I cant get anywhere with sprint CS

There customer service when related to LTE is rough. A week ago they actually told me for the first time ever that, I will be getting LTE within the year. up till then it was always some generic stock answer about how they are continuing to improve coverage all the time.

  4. I know nobody wants to hear this but i have to say it..Im shocked at the new tmobile lte coverage maps. Its killing us sprint users here in western upstate ny.they wernt kidding that the 2g is going to lte...hats off to them.Great reward to there customer base.shocked

I mentioned that last month as well. while I have no intentions of leaving sprint. Its a bit frustrating to see the already active LTE towers keep getting faster with enhancements instead of the them expanding the LTE coverage. I drive to Eastview mall in Victor and can get LTE. I drive 1 mile east and im back to 3g. I have even asked sprint customer service multiple times when there coverage will be expanded. I have yet to get even a window time wise when it will happen where I live. It sucks having people with ATT, Verizon, and now TMobile all be able to pull up video's and download apps while my phone just keeps showing a loading screen.  But the part that will keep me with sprint is the unlimited data I have on 4 phones. I cant give it up.

  5. I do not like T Mobile and would never ditch Sprint for them, but if there's one thing I hope it manages to accomplish it's putting a sense of urgency on Sprint for expanding their LTE footprint. Hoping that if anything pushes Sprint to expand its LTE footprint to where I live, it'll probably be T Mobile getting coverage there first. It doesn't quite feel to me like Sprint is truly competitive with the duopoly footprint-wise yet, as both VZW and AT&T have had LTE where I live for a really long time. However, I feel like they don't even need to be, because I could never change to them either out of straight up pride, on top of refusal to have my wallet totally reamed.

Anyway, I'm going to be happy for T Mobile's progress out of hope it makes Sprint feel a sense of urgency to compete footprint-wise, safe in the knowledge that even with a slightly bigger LTE footprint, the rest of the T Mobile network sucks bad enough that people who understand the real benefits of Sprint aren't going to change.

yeah thats what i meant by my post. I have no plans on leaving Sprint However, I am disappointed by the LTE coverage in my area. There 3g is way better than years past. it just seems as if Sprint is in no hurry to expand LTE coverage outside of the  Rochester area. as for T mobile. I know from other people that have there service that they are way worse than Sprint for coverage and signal. I fully agree with the wallet comment too. i cant switch to ATT or Verizon for that very reason. Also I never want to monitor my data usage so I dont go over my limit.

  6. If you are a premier sponsor you would find out Victor is not going to get LTE for a long time probably.... I am pretty sure I am safe to save on here that the cut off point is the mall for LTE for now, the towers else where are different, I dont want to get into specifics on the public side of forums.

I spoke with the local sprint employee at the mall. He claims that the tower on High st in Victor will be lit up with LTE. He had never heard anything about the Mall being a cutoff point for the 4g coverage. Why would they have LTE in Rochester and Canandaigua, but not in between. I see it has even shown up on sensorly in honeoye falls.

  7. All of this is answered if you look around on this site...  Short answer is yes and yes... Spark will most likely be up and running before 800, but you never know, plans could change at anytime.

Ok sounds good., I love having a forum like this, that can give me answers. I ask the actual sprint reps at my local mall and half the time it seems that I am updating them on news. Not the other way around. When I asked them about the 800 mhz band the guy had no idea what i meant. ..

    thanks again

  8. No lte in victor yet, but the 3g experience has been vastly improved . I have a strong signal almost everywhere I go. Just a month ago my phone was worthless inside my place of work. Now I get 3 bars of signal strength on average. I stream spotify for a few hours each day on my mail route. There used to be spots where I would lose my data connection completely. Those spots are nonexistent now. I can say without a doubt the coverage is greatly improved.

Please turn on the lte in victor soon :)

  9. I work in Victor, NY.  no LTE out here yet, but i have a question. The signal strength on Sprint at my place of work has always been poor. Data connection drops out all the time and cell calls are very choppy. I talked with a sprint rep online and I was assured that with the Network Vision being done in the area that I should expect to see stronger signals, and less Dropped calls. That was almost 4 months ago. Nothing has changed as of now. a few co workers on competitors networks have good strong signals in the same building. I was wondering if any of you would know if the towers in my area have even been worked on yet? it would seem if they have I should be seeing improvements by now? or maybe it is already as good as it will be?  i have been a loyal Spring customer since 2007.
