  1. Depends on what you mean by Spark. Spark capable devices are able to connect to LTE on bands 25, 26, and 41. Band 25 is currently live. Band 26 will be live very soon. Band 41 (the "fast" Spark band) will be further into the future. Band 41 is currently being deployed in existing Wimax markets. Indianapolis was not a Wimax market, so we are further down the list for band 41 awesomeness. If you own a triband device, you will benefit greatly from band 26 as it will be less burdened at launch due to many less triband devices on the market. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

Thanks for the reply. A couple of questions for you. I had a nexus s 4g and it had wimax. I got decent 4G in Indy, and sensorly shows Indy as having wimax. Shouldn't that mean we'd get band 41 as well?  Also, when you say 'very soon' for Band 26, do you know something I don't? I have a nexus 5 and want the full Spark experience, but at this point just need the 800 mhz LTE for building penetration. My signal check pro app shows that I have excellent 800 signal at my work desk.

  2. There isn't really anything you can do with a phone to determine that any Band 26 or 41 is testing or live in your area, other than connecting to it. Your screen shots weren't showing LTE of any flavor.

Your N5 will be able to use Band 26 and Band 41 when available. It is unknown when those will be available in your market. However, Band 26 should be deployed in the next few months, especially since you are in a Samsung market.

Thanks for the time and information. I really appreciate it. Can't wait for usable signal at my job!

  3. From what limited knowledge that I have (and have learned from great members on this forum)

I believe, from looking at the screen shots you posted, that you phone is like my HTC One. It is capable of picking-up and using 1x-800 signal, which is you voice and text, but not 800 LTE. Also, I am fairly confident in stating that you phone, like mine, is not "Sprint Spark Ready"

I have a Nexus 5 that is Sprint Spark Ready, but hasn't received the push from sprint that will enable Tri-band. I have manually enabled all 3 bands but I thought I read somewhere that won't matter until Sprint pushes an update. I was hoping someone could tell me if based off my screenshots, I can assume Spark is being tested here or will soon be lit up in Indy... I know we are pretty far along on the NV rollout.

    Thanks for replying to me.
