Did a job in Oregon, WI today. And had LTE all during the job, and a short drive back into town, where it then dropped out.
But the LTE signal persisted for ~1hour.

I figured so. Reason I ask, apparently the EVO LTE has a hard time finding random LTE signals. The small blip you were able to map out Prolly wouldn't have been detected on the EVO LTE.
Yes, it was literally a second, I bought an app from one of the guys here, signal check pro or something like that, it alerts me when LTE connects, is kind of cool for a market that is just starting to receive upgrades.

Are you using the htc evo lte or the htc one?
HTC One.

Looks like you mapped out your blip while you were on John Nolen Dr. Very weak purple signal but a signal none the less. I'd assume sprint will have towers lit up on major Madison streets/rd's (stoughton rd, E.Washington ave, University ave and the Beltine hwy) before any other towers go live. I plan on having sensorly running at all times during my travels on thoes roads.
Thats the one.

Had a literally 2 second blip of LTE in downtown madison, forget exactly where but I remember. Sensorly was mapping at the time, but I don't see it on the map yet.

It was probably the tower just south of McFarland on HWY 51. I would expect an extremely weak signal from that far away. Grab the SID and other tower info next time you connect and we can see if its the same tower.
Not sure when I will go back. I did just install sensorly though, will sensorly still collect data after it already uses it max battery life?

Just wanted to post and share, today at work in Stoughton I had an intermittent LTE connection, it came and went, but it was there.
How is sprints coverage along interstate highways across the nation?

Idle air is a thing of the past, you'll still find some places with the setups, but they don't work. It's simply cheaper to just idle your truck.....And you generally have to pay for wifi, and coverage of wifi is very spotty depending where you are parked in the lot.
I drive mostly in the midwest, and sprint coverage works well for me. it's rare that I stop somewhere for the night that I can't watch netflix.
