Neither worked. My current PRL version is: 25017

What is your current PRL? Have you tried updating your profile? Have you forced LTE-Only mode (usually *#*#4636#*#*)?
Haven't tried either. Will give that a shot now.

Hello, quick question. I just noticed today after checking sensorly on both my phone, and the website, that there is LTE live less than a quarter mile from me. I can't connect. Anyone know why? I've connected to LTE before on my GS3 in Grove City. It connected immediately without my having to do anything.
So far I've; Updated PRL, restarted phone, Changed the connection type from CDMA back and forth to CDMA/LTE/EVDO, and toggled airplane mode multiple times. The best I have gotten was x800 with EVDO. The x800 would only stay for about 30 seconds after updating the PRL.
Hopefully someone can help me out. Being this close to the site, I should have no problem connecting at all.

Edit: Changed picture to more accurately show where I am trying to connect.

If you could check it out that would be amazing. My camera app on my gs3 doesn't like me, and I usually only go by there on the way to work. Just trying to do what I can to be helpful here. I'm not even sure what to look for exactly lol.

The tower at Norton road and Brandenberry, right by Sullivant avenue, behind the car wash, has had boxes piling up inside the fence. I drove by earlier today and there were a LOT of changes. For this site, the top platform (for lack of a better term), had sprint equipment on it. Now however, the platform below that has new antennas and whatnot on it, both platforms have long wires hanging from them. I haven't seen anyone there, but obviously there is work being done. Is it uncommon for sprint to install antennas on two different platforms or is it safe to assume that the work being done is not sprint?

Just drove by the site at Brandenberry and Norton Road. There are boxes stacked up inside the fence. I hate that every time I see something they I don't have time to stop.

So I don't have a 5S, it's just a 5. But anyways here are the pics for that site. I don't think there are any changes and I saw no evidence of digging or back haul around the tower. Just to confirm, this is the tower right behind the car wash, right?
That's the one. Disappointing, that truck gave me some hope. Ah well, thanks for checking it out.

Is Sprint the only carrier on that particular site?
I do believe so. There is only 1 "level" of equipment on that site. There is another platform below the sprint one but it's empty.

I think I seen some guys running fiber to the site on Norton Road and Brandenberry. There was a truck there digging. The truck had a giant spool of cable on it and it was pretty close to the site. Not entirely sure though as I was only driving by. Couldn't stop was in a hurry. If anyone in that area has some time maybe you could swing by.

Any news about sites around the Lincoln village / Galloway area? Took a trip to Grove city today and it's got me hungry for LTE.
-
Seems like the Columbus market is going a lot slower than other Ohio markets. Sucks because I live near Galloway and I get sad seeing Grove city right next to me all nice and purple.
-
My phone keeps switching back and forth between evdo and ehrpd in the Lincoln village area.
-
Looks like some action up near cleveland

I have a feeling that Sprint is waiting until after all of our thousands of fire works events to switch on the other sites. Network overload ftw
-
Wouldn't be surprised if they did this first one as a test. And then there's a short pause before they turn on quite a few of them.
If that's a test that one tower has some serious range on it.

I wish they would kick on Lte by Lincoln village near the casino. I can't even get a EVDO-A signal and I'm less than a quarter mile between two different sites.
-
Or they might be waiting for Iden to be shut down on the 30th before launching a bunch of sites.
Maybe, but I won't be holding my breath this time. Lol

Or maybe it's there to keep service going through the recent storm damage

Can you guys see the status of the towers near sullivant and west broad? The speed test app has been timing out the past 2 days, and the 1 test that did complete was.01down .00 up in Mbps.
-
Definitely not south west.

Somewhere not near a large population. LolSo Columbus market launched NV 3G today. Anyone want to guess where?
-
Don't think too much into that. The thing happened when 4G WIMax was brought here. Columbus wasn't on anyone's radar and them, blam! We were a 4G WiMax city out of no where. Even though we may not be on the elite list of cities that are getting LTE, we can all be confident enough to say we will have it very soon based off the ton of work being done in our market. This is Columbus. You should be used to this city not getting the credit or publicity it deserves...lol.
It's funny that you say that about columbus never getting publicity, because it's true, yet Columbus is always mentioned in movies, T. V shows and some music, but nothing ever noteworthy. We're like some mythical city or something lol

Sprint is trying to be funny. They keep sending out these news letters talking about LTE coming soon. In every city on Ohio except columbus. Dayton, Cleveland etc. Makes me so mad.

Well that's just lovely. I don't have an upgrade until next November... Thank you sprint.
