Question for you if a tower is updated and has LTE why does the LTE 4G not cover as much as 3g does?

I was in the Blaine area of MN right by Blaine High School and speeds were around 12-22 Mbps up and 6-12 down. I am going out by Hugo today to see if I can get LTE on 35E off of 96.

Nothing in the Twin Cities area thus far that I've been able to detect.

I have seen an few Towers off of 94 east just outside of St. Paul being worked on in the last week. Also I work in downtown Minneapolis and my 3g speeds went from .3-.5 to over 1 Mbps in the last week. So let's hope we see some LTE soon

There is no active Sprint LTE yet in Minnesota. But this should change in the next few weeks.Robert

So Robert question for you... I have noticed that when I am driving from Blaine (North of Minneapolis about 20 miles) into downtown Minneapolis I will lose 3g all together and have to turn on airplane mode to get it to kick back on. Is that because of the upgrade going on or something wrong with my phone? I flashed a few different ROM's and it still is happening.

Thanks for the info. My questions is in Minnesota update you said that they will start in late august, so is that still true? I ask because could I still see LTE in the next 30 days in spot for the twin cites?

I've looked through all the photos. I don't see any RRU's on the rack that appears to be Sprint's up on the tower. I do see some RRU's, but the appear to be on AT&T panels. Also, the equipment cabinets that appear to be Sprints look like legacy cabinets.In the one shot where you see the cabinets on the right almost behind the AT&T equipment building, were there additional cabinets behind the building that you could see?Robert

Yea I think there was another cabinets but it is in a wet spot and didnt want to try to get around to the other side. If you serach Ham Lake MN and look a little north of 18 you will see the new tower. I have a feeling they used the old system. when I was at the tower the best I got was 1 mg download. Has anyone have problems with 3g in the minneapolis area? The last few days I cant get speeds to be better then .300kb down. Other then being next to the tower.

Robert I sent them to your Twitter account. Let me know if you want me to email them to you. Please tell me some good news. The last 3 days Sprint 3G in Minnesapolis and St. Paul have been the worst I have seen. I hope that is because they are updating the network.

Ok I will go and take some pictures now and update this with some pictures.

So if we can see that Sprint is adding a tower in my area does that mean they are updating NV in the area at the same time. Or is that a totally different part?

I just found a way to check to see if it is shipping. take your Sprint account and go to UPS.com and search with your account number in the reference part. It will pull up the tracking number and you can see your phone on its way

Has anyone got and email saying their phone has shipped?

Ok, this article states that BB is going to put the phone on sale on 5/23 & Sprint is going to sell it starting 5/25?????? What no one sees the conflict or is everyone so happy that "who cares"? My hope is that it is true, that Friday I can get my phone. I have searched online & there is no news elsewhere.

I was thinking the samething but as long as UPS has a boxs with my two phones in it by Friday I am a happy man.
