I also have MeanRom. Where do you see this setting?
I cant keep my weak LTE signal. How do you do it?
##3282# edit enter msl
evdo
change from cdma hrd lte to just cdma lte and normally my sig locks

i have the evo I am not having any connection issues in a strong signal area. I am rooted using latest mean rom/ with rom tool box presets set to mild.
My signal loss has come is weak to mild areas.
I have found that changing the settings to cdma/lte only instead of cdma hdr lte only makes a big difference.
In these weak lte areas i can keep an active lte connections for hours that ranges from 2mbps down in peak times to about 8mpbs in off peak it average about 4 mbps down. Sometimes when it does drop in the cdma lte only settings it goes back to cdma hdr lte and I have to switch it back to pick up a signal in my house again.

dial ##3282# and the menu pops up edit enter your msl and the settings are under the evdo

i think it may have somethig to do with the new radio. before the update when when sprint was working on a tower I could connect for about 24 hours in a weak area at my cousins. Went over there is this weekend and the only way to get a connection was to cycle from cdma hdr lte to just cdma lte only again instant lock with 1 or 2 bars speeds about 4-6 down

I am using the evo lte i have the ddtm on of but also in the preferred mode i get options of
cdma hdr only
cdma hdr lte only which is the default
lte only
cdma lte only
I choose cdma lte only and it locks almost instantly with 1 or two bars of service in my home. when I am out and about in good signal area i have no problem connecting

you need to be rooted and download msl reader from market, if you are not rooted you can call sprint and try to get it from them or google how to get msl from sprint. But it is so much easier to root

##3282# edit mode evdo and change settings from cdma hrd/lte to just cdma/lte has greatly improved my ability to connect to lte sites
-
dial ##3282# edit enter your msl code and click edvo change from ehrp/lte to just cdma/lte and it locks it does change back randomly sometimes after a call.or text message just change it back. getting speeds of 4-5 down with -109db signal loss

anyone having the 4g connects for a second then disco. I have found a tempt solution. do the ##3282# edit must have msl and change from cdmaehrplte to just cdma/lte locks almost instantly and stays. I have found that it randomly switches back to ehrp/cdma just change it back.
I think it is changing prematurely in a weak signal, because once it locks only got 1-2 bars with speeds around 4-5 down but still a lot better that less than 1 on 3g

I am pretty sure that I am not connectting to the tower that I thought I was because I am in the office and less than 1000 yards from tower. I have yet to catch a signal in ten minutes. This particullar site has been live since may. So I must have been on the cusp of a tower in monroe or loganville. Possibly. I can not access the sponsors section from work, I have screen shots but can not upload them from work. I have long and lat and ip info if that helps anyone

As of 12.01 am I have been having on and off lte signals in Conyers. I do know if it is a tower that is set to come online soon, or testing. However the results have not been good. signal loss like crazy, and speed results at my cousins where I am living till the end of the month when I could get it to lock long enough for a speed test for around 4mpb. On the way to work which is a ten min drive still in Conyers I hit a consistent 8 mpb with a peak of 27 down and 13 up,

another thing I have noticed is that cdma/lte is when I get heat issues and where the 3g signals drops in and out. I go a day on cdma/lte to test battery and then a day on cdma only. when on cdma/lte it almost seems like to phone its trying to connect to Lte, the phone looses signal or a few seconds as it is switching like the og evo, the it cycles back to rev a

I hope they flip the switch before and or come up with a software patch before the S3 drops so I can decided if I need to trade in for an s3. I hope not I am loving my evo
-
im 003 also, I am hoping the connectivity issue is software and not hardware. although it has not happened while I was using data, my 3g signal dissappears and reappears a few times. I did notice dropped calls and heat when I was running a customer rom.
-
Yeah, both phones.
what hardware version of the evo do you have. I am wandering if this is this or if there is a diff in version 001,002,003
-
i was just about to post this info, Hope it goes live this week
-
dont let that 3G icon on your sprint phone fool you!!!!!!
lmao lately in the Conyers my speeds are retro like 2001
-
what about the nv 3g will they become active once Lte is swithced on
-
to stop the blocking of active sites. does it have to be done on an individual basis, or is this something that can be done remotely.
in the atlanta area will the 3g ulgrades be switched on with LTE
I was hoping sprint would flip switch with the launch of the evo

I had that problem here in Atlanta on a tower that has band 41 even though we are not a spark area... I disable every band and found the problem to be band 26 I guess there is an issue while they are getting it up and running
