The fake trees used to camouflage cell antennas.
Tree? Real or false? The fact that particular site has a half of a tree antenna mast may have something to do with needing city approval?

I Agree.
I don't even see why this is relevant to the city. Why should you need approval to remove a couple to four big refrigerator to bigger-than-refrigerator sized cabinets, replace them with a couple of small refrigerator sized cabinets, replace six old antennas with three new ones and 3-6 tower mounted radios, and generally neaten up and compact almost everything in the base of the site?A fellow member here gave me a link to a city permit hearing for a cell site upgrade. The application was dated in march. I emailed the city last week and they said that they will come up with a decision on whether it will be approved or not at the end of this month. That's 4 months!
Not the original question, but it shows you how San Diego works.
Cities are idiotic.

My 3g connection has been really slow the past few weeks at my office. I can't even stream Pandora. I avoid the wifi at work because it sucks too. I was consistently getting 1.5 DL and now I'm lucky to get 0.1
The response time is still below 100. Morena Blvd off of the 8 freeway.

I'm near sports arena and the 3g is horrible. Like pre NV times.

Interesting. They'll be the first to complain when the network gets clogged.

and IB had excellent LTEI drove from IB to Poway via Downtown and no signs of 4G.

I noticed today areas in the South Bay (San Diego) that had LTE access recently, are now 3G only.

I've noticed that the service has gotten much better relatively close to my house (within a few miles). My 3g connection at work is leaps and bounds better than it used to be years ago. I periodically drive by a site closetto my house in order to see if they have crews out working.

Question: How does it normally work? Do The workers jump around at random or tend to work on sites and move to the next closest site?
