I don't think there is a AWS 4 yet. Only saying that b/c they are completing the AWS 3 auction this week.
Verizon owns half of the AWS 1 with 15mhz.
There was this website that said T-Mobile is capable of deploying their wideband LTE because they own 20 MHz of aws. I was confused on that because I thought Verizon owned it
Plus I found this

Does anyone know who owns the aws 4 a block license In Albuquerque?

Well September 9th, Albuquerque was launched. We all need to break out the bubbly. This was a long time coming.
That's Great New for the city. But I still haven't got any signal in the valley yet. ????

I heard that on the Internet too. And also the hot State Farm chick. I wonder if they ever found her body after her date with the alleged French super model?

I saw this while I bought my new hover car, but unfortunately mercedes revealed the new teleporter so that was a waste of money.
(But I wasn't joking about mexico and their fiber network.)

Nope, just New Mexico. I read it on the internet so it has to be true.

If it does happen at least mexico would probably updated our state network to fiber. Mexico is the fastest country to update their broadband Internet to fiber.

That wouldn't really be possible because if they give up New Mexico then they would have to give up California, Arizon, and Colorado, because of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo.I heard a rumor that Sprint heard a rumor that the United States was dumping New Mexico back to Mexico. Since Sprint only provides service in country, they will no longer have a presence in New Mexico.

Just notice some crew workers working on a possible Sprint tower, it seems like they are replacing the antennas.

Does anybody know the speed difference between T-Mobile wideband LTE and Sprint Spark in real world scenarios, or did this network just got launch and is till being tested.
-
Im starting to re-think whether I should stay with Sprint or leave. All over the heights I'm getting speeds of 0/0 and a Ping of -1. No data, yet perfect SMS and not a single dropped call. Hoping this can all hurry up as everyone of my friends have all jumped ship to show off their LTE.

Possibly. EVDO will run between 80-120ms pings typically with fiber backhaul. However, an unburdened T1 can run that low too in ideal situations. But it's not common. I used to get really low pings like that though off Osuna, west of Jefferson near the Calvary Chapel and also on the West Mesa near Paradise and Unser. Robert
I Thought it was because the down loads are pretty high for 3G

Yes. CL is definitely working on backhaul. I ran into a CL field engineer a few weeks before I left NM. He was working at the Sprint site at I-25 and St. Francis in Santa Fe.He at that time was installing the fiber termination box and a fiber pull box. He said he was doing this at several Santa Fe/Los Alamos sites. He believed that there were crews in ABQ too, but he said they were from Las Vegas. He said all the CL employees working on backhaul in NM are from other markets. Local CL crews are too busy on existing contracts. He said he would install these fiber backhaul boxes. And when he was done, fiber crews would be scheduled to come in after that. He said he would be done with his work in a few weeks. That was early Sept. But he had no idea how long it would be for fiber crews. He said some places fiber was within 50'. Others were up to a mile.He said the I-25/St. Francis site may be one of the first because fiber was nearby. However, they had not even started that site with NV upgrades when I left. It is on a transmission tower and may not be able to be converted by conventional crews.Robert via Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

Could these speeds be fiber?

On Thanks Giving day I've been getting high speeds on 3G from the tower on coots and
I-40.

that's always a good thing. Which tower?

It was the tower on back of the Amadeos on Coors near Barcelona

I agree that it is a bummer. Almost all of the towers I have seen in town (excl flagpoles) are done (i.e., have the NV equipment). I can't tell on some of the flagpoles. I can't see the cabinets which makes it difficult. The thing to keep your eyes open for is Centurylink. Centurylink is the backhaul provider for most of the market and they are slow as can be. I would suggest becoming a sponsor so you know exactly all of the Sprint towers. Therefore, when you see a truck next to it, post it here to let everyone know.
I have seen about three Centurylink trucks near a sprint 3G tower, they were running cables underground.

Today Sprint launched Clovis with their 4G LTE.
-
Im starting to decide if i should stay with Sprint, or switch to T-Mobile
-
I am with you guys but remember it is not sprint nor the builders. There are so many towers around town that are ready. Blame Centurylink. I am about to go get the "Shame on..." signs from all of the strikers and go down to Centurylink here. Once the towers are fired up, the city will have great coverage. All I can ask is to be a little more patient. Good news is that I have seen several new towers being working on which means that workers have not completely given up on ABQ.
What is taking Centurylink forever

It's been awhile since I posted on here, but I thought this would be nice to share with you all. Band 25, tower off of Isleta, near Rio Bravo. (Behind Taco Bell/ KFC).
