Got 4g lte on my phone for the first time ever at my home. Im in South sac near elk grove florin and gerber. Speed was slow but first sign of progress for me.

This gives me hope, I'm by Bruceville and Cosumnes and i'm pulling the worst speeds ever but decent pings Lol, i get 1x800 but my data is around 150-200 ping and 2.4kbps. Or it just tells me data call failure or if I try to make a call it says Network Communication failure or something. Things usually go really bad then good, hope its true for this situation. Also do you mind posting a screenshot of your LTE from your S3?

Its strange, ever since you said that Elk Grove has launched, my 1x/Data have been going bananas. I keep connecting to 1xRTT and then it drops and I switch over to 1x800 and on either one my mobile data doesn't work. I'm in South Sac bordering Elk Grove =/

Sparks, NV should receive special Sprint Spark treatment..Or something pun worthy...Just saying.

have you tried swappa.com for a phone?  Worked well for me in the past.

I just checked it out and i'm seeing some decent phones on there, i'm gonna go visit the sprint store right now and see what they can do to help me. Crunching numbers and all I want the most bang for my buck while putting money aside for a Volt.

Ok so I've received a job with the USPS and now with this discount, I'm not leaving my beloved sprint behind for this next contract ending in April. From my understanding, theres SOME spark coverage in the south sac area which is in the 2600 spectrum, is this only in LTE mode or does it coexist fine with 1x? Also are the details of a site being tested or live on the Sponsors side? And i'm assuming since not many people have a Sprint Spark compatible phone that the few sites that are up are not burdened at all.

:edit: Also is anyone here selling a Nexus 5/LG G2? Or can point me in the right direction?

I want some of that speed .. I could only pull 2mbps in the Galt area, but sweet jesus that 50mbps...I need it. Like every other consumer in the world, I need it. =/

I was in south sac yesterday, neighborhood by Mack Rd and Franklin Blvd, and decided to run a speed test. I pulled some if the fastest speeds ever (http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/i/703399412).

 

I know there are some Sprint/Clearwire towers close by but they don't look new. Any insight/idea how this can be?

I'm just going to assume since its 11:53PM the tower you were connected to wasn't that loaded. Also, isn't that by Raleys?(Not trying to say Raleys brings good omens cause, its the ghetto.)

Just a small dumb (to me) question, when an LTE site goes live, does it broadcast all 3 spectrums of LTE or is every site dedicated to 1 of the 3?

Small question, how much do you guys think the LG g2 is gonna be priced at and will Sprint Up help me get it? Aching for a triband and I was really wondering if they'd give me some lee way on the bill, for being a long-term customer and all.

Sensorly maps anytype of data right? Or will the TD-LTE be represented differently?

I usually get these speeds right before i hit the country side. Guess its a tower with little load on it.

That is ATT on the very top with 1 RRU and then TMobile right below with 6 Ericsson AIR Panels.

Wonder where that sprint tower is then cause getting 50-60db is like having something right infront of me. =/ spotting these towers is not easy. 

Have to get a better picture. I'd wager T-mobile legacy on the bottom set though. Get better images of the top or better yet, nearest cross streets. Those do not look like Ericsson RRU11s on the top to me which leaves only one other option......

It is right on the corner of valley hi drive and mack road. Other then that, I won't be able to take better pictures for awhile.

Any idea who's on this tower? I'm guessing sprint because I get 50-60db when I'm near it. But who else is on it? Sorry for the bar pics, took it with my phone. Didn't have my camera at the moment.

Huge update for Reno and Carson City:

 

Some kind soul has Sensorly running on their device, so I check the maps for updates fairly often. I've seen LTE in Carson City since May, but sometime between July 31 and August 2nd, some LTE towers have been turned on in Reno. It looks like we will have 4G before the end of the summer *fingers crossed*

South sacramento is part of unincorporated sacramento county every cell site in south has been applied or issued. Just a matter of time before those start going live. Incorporated City of Sacramento are still weeks away from having LTE.

That is some music to my ears. Or .. pleasantries to my eyes. South Sac may be ghetto but it sure does deserve some love. And thanks! 

The anticipation is killing me, I keep hearing end of July, end of august, I just can't wait to map out south Sacramento and stare at shiny new equipment. If I get this job at the fresh market, my eyes will be on a tri-band phone. And with august nearing, I hope sense 5 and JB(not justin beiber)4.2.2 come to meh phone. Oh the excitement..tis killin' me.

 I'm at the Sacramento building permits site, trying to look for a specific tower right next to an intersection. Using Google maps doesn't give me an address so I need pointers! Halp Meh Plox.

Was it noticeable when work was being done on the tower? Because if it was I just might  start driving around checking out towers. Kind of expecting a blanket of purple by the end of July.
