ATT's "4G" is lies. Their HSPA+ implementation is 14.4mbps and is 3.5g at best (plain HSUPA 5.76mbps is 3g) and they updated the iphone to show "4g" because every android phone coming out was "4g".

 

It's either 4G LTE or 3g EVDO for sprint and verizon. HSPA+ 14.4 or LTE for ATT and DC-HSPA 42+ or HSPA+21 + LTE for T-mobile.

For all the iPhone users, do you guys know if the 3G is ever gonna be 4G? Or is it just 3G and LTE? I know when my friends on AT&T turn off LTE it goes to 4G

Does anyone know if they turned off the LTE site by the 22? I haven't been able to get LTE in a couple of days.

My buddy is mapping LTE around Angel Stadium and Disneyland. Looks like at least one tower in that area went live.

 

I'll be at the Angels game tonight. I hope that signal penetrates inside the stadium as well.

 

And wish me luck I come home alive. Doyer fans (aka Raiders fans) will be invading the OC.

say what?!?! i consistently pull 11-17mbps down. highest so far is 17.8mbps down 5.58 up latency of 36. Thats from the tower at euclid and 22. in fact, this morning in my drive way i ran a test just cause 4g is much loved, i pulled 17.09 down 5.52 up. sorry I lied, heres test on the on ramp:

Looks like LTE towers are still on, the one in Brea is working, and the ones in Garden Groove too. Did so mapping again but dont see any updates on Sensorly.

LTE in Garden Grove is sooo slow. I had to turn off the LTE because the 3G was faster.

sweet!!! wonder if that signal is still coming from the 22/euclid tower...i keep forgetting to see how far it goes since i have my phone connected to the appradio 2 and just set sensorly to mapping when i leave the house.

I did the speed test thing and it said the server location was "Irvine, CA". Oh and I get a pretty good LTE signal when I'm out doors, in my house - not so much. Haha

Very long. I was actually getting gas when I turned on LTE for the hell of it. LTE first came on for around 10 seconds, then came back for 10 minutes and then kicked me back to 3G.

Hi guys, I'm new here lol. I don't know if this helps but I got LTE for like 10 seconds in Garden Grove. I live right by Costco.
