Interesting, seems like Dish Network is now interested in purchasing Sprint Nextel before the SoftBank purchase goes through.

The most coverage I have ever seen on the way to one of my stores.. Normally I can only pick up LTE for 1/6th of the trip. Good work sprint keep it up.

Easter morning as of 6:45am I'm getting a steady LTE signal averaging 7-12mbps around neshaminy mall in bensalem. It's been consistent for about 2.5 hours. Hopefully it's on for good now... Who knew sprint would be working on Easter, there was no LTE here last night
YAY. They are Def working today. As I'm working in my home office I hear the chime from SCP and here's what I saw..

I keep trying to pick up LTE in these areas, but it just seems like my phone doesn't have the ability to grab the weaker signals like the SGS3 & especially the Note 2. This is the only drawback to the EVO LTE unit that I've noticed, but I'm still upgrading to the HTC One when it comes out. It seems to have a more robust LTE antenna although I guess only time will tell on that.
You are correct. It seems endemic of the HTC devices. My nephew has the same issue.

You're good then. Been using it for a month now and have it running it constantly.. All good on this end
Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 2

That's good to know. The only app I've seen pushed the most around here for usage is Sensorly which doesn't provide any audible notifications.
Does SCP make the screen stay on
You can keep it on the top but it won't keep the phone on. Audible chimes are useful.

Something kinda odd. Been in Manhattan all day, all over Manhattan. If you look at Sensorly it shows LTE all over the place here. I have not picked it up once. Updated prl and went through the normal steps all day. Nothing. What gives... No love for a philly phone. I'll take some screen shots tomorrow.

Where exactly did you map 4G, as I don't see any new 4G showing on Sensorly other than what I mapped in Warminster/Southampton last week.
Bustleton from buck road up through around playwicki park it was active.

Yup, mapped it yesterday.

anyone live near feasterville-trevose? I had LTE for a bit on the 13th but none since.
Just took this on my way to Trevose on philmont by bustleton.

Yup. It's on and off. Consistent on Byberry and philmont.

Keep one thing in mind. Information comes from the top down. There is a culture of non information at sprint that I have noticed in the past 15 years as a customer with them. It is unlikely to change.
I do applaud the employees who are on here trying to learn more about their product and how it's being applied practically rather than what they are told.
Let's treat them with respect since they are working and doing their job. I have no doubt they know very little and we may have more information then they do at times.
If we respectfully work together and look at this for what it is.... An LTE treasure hunt in Philadelphia.... It can be worthwhile.
For the record I am unhappy that it took so long and at the lack on info. But it's here now so let's move on and enjoy..
End rant.

More encouraging news. LTE flashing on and off on bustleton by Fulmer. 3g speeds have improved when it's off of 4G. Up about 60% from what I'm used to seeing here.

Good news. Just mapped the stretch from holy family hospital to Roosevelt Blvd ave via philmont and byberry. Had 4g almost until the Blvd and byberry.

They went live Tuesday. I was in a meeting at 19th and market when I looked down at my phone. I saw the 4g and it took a moment to register in my head. I had a huge smile and no one knew why lol.

Should extend battery life the stronger the signal. Since its downloading information more quickly it doesn't have to connect as long to draw information.

No. I should have.

Saw it first kick on today in center city around 2 and had it continuously high up in a building on 19th and market. At street level there was nothing. On the way to the northeast I saw it again around the sprint store on Roosevelt Blvd and Whitaker but lost it soon after. Seems like they are testing the towers.

Network Vision/LTE - Philadelphia Metro Market (including Lehigh Valley/Reading)
in Markets

Well I'm done. After competing another cross country trip and needing to rely heavily on my phone, I had the worst service I have ever experienced with sprint in 17 years.
In markets where they had "completed" their build out such as South Bend Indiana and Louisiana service was pretty bad and consistency much slower than my at&t 4g on the iPad. The kicker was at daytona International Speedway where sprint is a major sponsor and I was roaming the entire time I was there. Unreal and unacceptable.
Back in my home market I can't even download an attachment. I was so excited when I saw LTE and even more so when I saw it expand. Problem is that while it's going on I'm paying a lot for a severe lack of service.
I'll keep following along and let you know the data speed difference. At&t is making me too good an offer to bring my company phones over for me to resist.
Good luck all.
