Recently, I've noticed "4g" on my phone. However, when I run speed tests, it seems to be even slower than the speeds on 3G. Can anyone provide any insight into this? Does this mean this tower is LTE ready and I should expect it soon? Or, will I maintain these speeds at "4g" until mid 2014 when every tower is ready and LTE is launched? I'm in the chandler area by the tower on Dobson and Ray.
I've skimmed this thread, as well as a couple others, for an answer, but couldn't find it.
Thanks,
Glenn

Who did you talk to at Sprint?
Mobile Broadband Specialist or something. That is what they call their Tier 2 Support.

Entirely dependent on what Sprint officially announces

Also, this is not a thread to ask about so-and-so's city. This thread simply tracks what Sprint has announced, and what cities are seeing LTE available. Please use the correct market threads to ask for more information on your city. I will be moving market-specific questions to their appropriate threads.
The question was based on the tracking map in this thread. I simply used an example that referenced a market.

Thanks for the quick response.
When I call Sprint, they say this June. However, they don't actually show it on their website.

I appreciate the work that was done on this map. However, if permits are being pulled in Phoenix, shouldn't it be categorized as "Coming soon"? Or, is this map entirely dependent on what Sprint officially announces?
Thanks

It looks like LTE is a go. I just ran a speed test and got 16 down and 3 up in Chandler today.
