  1. I know that my post isn't related to the LTE rollout but I just purchased the Note 3 and for some reason the screen does not wake up when I receive a text. My brother also has the Note 3 but on T-Mobile and his screen lights up when he receives a text. I spoke to both Sprint and Samsung and none of them seem to be aware of the issue. Thoughts?

  2. And also, I got this test standing outside my friends house in DP basically right off Walace and Apopkavineland with only 2 bars of LTE. supahyge.jpg

    Pretty amazing in my opinion.

I have always had an abysmal signal in that area as I live pretty close to it. It's definitely a relief to see a speedtest like this.

  3. Things seem to be changing for the better with Sprint. I noticed when I came into work yesterday, I had LTE inside my building which I have never had before. I ran a few speed test and averaged about 12 down and 2 up. The highest was this morning with 22.89Mbps down and 4.6Mbps up with a ping of 41ms. Very impressed! I work in Maitland off of Keller Rd.

  4. Was down in historic Orlando today driving around after leaving the dog park and had a consistent LTE signal... Is quite nice. It's like a tsunami wave and it's not towards this side of Orlando yet LOL

That's great!. Where in Orlando was this. Do you have any screenshots of speedtests that you can share?

  5. There is still definitely room for improvement in the Orlando market... (Starbucks on Kirkman across from Universal)anabyvu4.jpg

I have always had really atrocious service in that area and have never seen even the slightest of improvements. SMH

  6. Sprint contacted me again today, I answered this time. They checked for any existing tickets (there is 1 for the data connection issues) and they have and added mine to the list.

In short, what she said was that pretty much all of the voice enhancements are done, now they are in the final stages of launching LTE and it should be completed around the end of this month(at least for my area)..which is awesome. She said they'll have someone investigate the "coverage" issues in this area because my calls are always dropping in my apartment... I don't know if that will do anything, but I did enjoy the phone call back. If it doesnt improve in the next month, I'll call them back and ask them to send me a airrave. It could just be that I am literally on the edge of the signal range because I have LTE and great service 200 feet away on the other side of my building.  B) Wishful thinking here

What area is this? I was told the same thing by a rep yesterday. I live in the Metrowest area off of Hiawasee Rd by the Publix

    Orlando

Status:  Partial LTE Launch/Full Builds Continuing

    NV Sites Accepted = 41%

    LTE Sites Accepted = 29%

Looks like its picking up. :D

Thanks and that's good news. I can't seem to find the link where it shows the percentage of sites completed/launches in the country. Can you post that here? Thanks!

  8. I have good news for whoever lives in and around Metrowest close to Conroy Windermere. I got a second 4G when I looked down at my phone while at Turkey Lake Park. I also saw a West tower communications pickup on Hiawassee Rd going towards Conroy Windermere Rd. I also noticed a quick second of 4G while on I4 just leaving downtown going East earlier this morning.

I also picked up some LTE starting from West Colonial and Hiawassee until about Raleigh St. Ran a speedtest and it was pretty fast. Here is a link to my speedtest. http://www.speedtest.net/android/468623068.png

  10. Don't know if anyone else has experienced this, but I've noticed that occasionally I need to reboot to acquire an LTE signal. Perhaps that was the issue?

I haven't had to do as it has just picked it up on it's own. I will try that though for next time.

  11. I shall find out tonight. Thanks a lot!

I took a trip to the Walmart Neighborhood Market and my service was the same as before. Very poor signal with 3G only. Do you think maybe they were just testing it because like you said it's a deadzone for Sprint in that area.

  12. Yea same for me that place is or has been a virtual dead zone until last week when 3g actually registered. This week I was surprised to see LTE. I have a mail box at the UPS store so I'm in that plaza at least once a week.

  13. Quite possibly so because I'm also picking it up for the first time at the old Albertsons Plaza which is now the new Walmart at the corner of Apopka Vineland and Conroy Windermere. I started picking it up at Windermere elementary school a couple weeks ago and the signal (data speeds) is a lot stronger there.

You are picking it up at the Walmart Neighborhood Market? Ever since that place opened, I have been a frequent visitor and I am lucky if I barely have a bar much less any 3G service. I last went there on Friday night. I plan to go again this evening so I will check it out.

  14. Picked up LTE at Shadow Bay Park (5100 Turkey Lake Rd) by the tennis courts this evening for the first time.post-5711-13660665250721_thumb.jpg

This is great as I literally live in the Montevista Apartments which is just a couple of minutes away from that park which I go to very often to play basketball. I will more than likely go tomorrow and check it out. Your speeds aren't great at all. I wonder if you are connecting to a tower that's further away.

  15. I hear yea. I'm in Metro West and for the last couple of days the signal has been so bad it frequently says I'm roaming even when I'm on wifi. Explains why I'm not missing any calls but get vm's all of the sudden.

Sucks big time. I am calling them for credit. Hopefully this well be fixed VERY soon!

  16. I was in Windermere at the Windermere elementary school this evening and looked at my phone just before a bike ride and it was showing 4G! Woo hoo! It's finally getting closer to Metro West!

I live off of Conroy Windermere in between Kirkman and Turkey Lake Rd. My service was really bad last night around 9-10 PM. It kept going in and out of roaming even though I was in my apartment. I would get text messages that people were calling me and it wasn't even ringing on my end. I don't know how the data was affected if at all because I was connected to Wi-Fi. I don't think I am close enough to this tower to pick LTE anyways :(

  17. Yeah back when I had the GS2 I got pretty good WiMax in the Maitland/Altamonte area as well. Ocoee got barely a lick of WiMax, and so far no 4G action. Oh well. Here's hoping it won't be the summer of no LTE.

I hear you. I did receive LTE in the Auburndale area while driving to Lakeland. The speeds were blazing fast and I had it for about a good 10 minutes. I just hope that that kind of speed and service comes here to Maitland and Orlando.

  18. Has anyone drive around the Maitland area? I did a few weeks back and didn't get a lick of LTE. But I see on the map there is a site complete near maitland blvd and I4. Is the coverage just that bad from the tower?

I work in Maitland so I constantly check for LTE but the closest that I have seen was at exit 92 for Altamonte Springs and the speeds were terrible which leads me to believe that the tower was far or still being worked on. I do get excellent 3G though with full bars. I used to get full 4G WiMax with my EVO 3D.

Nothing in Winter Garden atm, there are two towers in town near my location, but I have not seen any work done on them yet. Data speeds are Acceptable here tho usually pulling 1-2 mbps on 3g

there ya go MK speed test outside the Entrance

I don't get that. LTE had to have been turned off when I went a couple of weeks ago. If I would have picked up LTE, maybe my battery wouldn't have died so quickly. I didn't even have service while waiting for most of the rides.

  20. Did not get a Screenshot but speeds were around 8-10 mbps. Nothing in Winter Garden atm, there are two towers in town near my location, but I have not seen any work done on them yet. Data speeds are Acceptable here tho usually pulling 1-2 mbps on 3g

    Cool thanks.

  21. I was at Disney this weekend Did a bit more mapping at Epcot and MK it was great to have usable speeds. Looks like the new radios in the recent update fixed my phone from latching on to LTE without having to toggle Airplane Mode.

Do you have any screenshots of your speeds? I see that you live in Winter Garden. Have you picked up any LTE there?

  22. Check the Sensorly map. There's some activity around the Disney area.

Thanks! I was just at Disney a couple of weeks ago and the service was horrendous to say the least. I have a Galaxy Note 2 and my battery almost died and my 3G was non existent. I was very disappointed as I've read posts about others that they were able to receive LTE there. I would have to assume that it they were not lit up when I went.
