  1. According to the Weather Channel, the sun is about to do a polarity switch in about 3 or 4 months. This apparently happens every 7 years or so, so I'm assuming if there is any sort of effect here on Earth we would have noticed from the past. Anyways, my question to all of you knowledgeable people here is: When this occurs we will notice any sort of cell phone reception issues? Be it for the day or a week or what have you? The last time the sun "flipped" was in 2001, albeit we had cell phones back then I feel as though they weren't advanced as they are today. Do you guys think anything noticeable will happen with this upcoming flip?
  2. Eager beaver blamed for New Mexico Internet outage Published: June 28, 2013 1:47 PM By The Associated Press (AP) -- Officials have finally identified the culprit behind a 20-hour Internet and cellphone outage last week in northern New Mexico --an eager beaver. CenturyLink spokesman David Gonzales told The Associated Press on Friday that a hungry beaver chewed through the fiber line last week. He says the biting evidence was discovered by contractors who worked to repair the outage.
