  1. Sprint has recently announced plans to allow Direct Connect Users to use CDMA Direct Connect over their 2G network. Sprint believes their CDMA 1x network has enough bandwidth to handle the calls. This triples the reach of Sprint's Direct Connect network. This creates a nationwide CDMA Direct Connect network. Now people using iDen can switch to a reliable service. Please be aware if you do use Direct Connect over the 1x network you may notice the sound quality is poor or have trouble connecting. Sprint has said that once you are connected you should have reliable voice connection.
