  1. Not with the a screen cracked like you say yours is. When my brothers camera was misplaced he had a slight hairline crack at the bottom. Luckily I knew the Apple genius personally, so he said will just pretend that I didn't see that and get you a new phone. He said if it hadn't been him, they probably would've charged for a new screen.

Man, I have a hairline crack the extends across the screen and then splits into several vines near the middle.

  2. I was caseless as well - well, I had a dbrand skin on it to help with scratches and to give better grip, but essentially caseless. Saturday my 1 year old swiped my phone out of my hand onto our tile floor. It landed on the upper right corner, cracking the screen. It was just a slight crack, but a crack nevertheless.

Rewind to a few weeks ago I had read that there's a manufacturing defect with the front facing camera and that it will slide out of position, creating a slight crescent moon shape. Because it's a manufacturing defect Apple is replacing the screen at no charge. Sure enough my phone has the problem - it didn't impact the pictures at all and was barely noticeable so I didn't do anything about it...until I cracked the screen. I set a genius appointment yesterday afternoon citing the camera flaw and they replaced the screen at no charge. I think had my crack been larger or more noticeable they may have challenged me, but they didn't ask a word. I was in and out in under an hour.

Side benefit: my Touch ID was previously always hit or miss; I just thought it was how it functioned. Since the screen has been replaced my Touch ID has been flawless. Needless to say I'm back in a case and I just had a Zagg Invisible glass put on the new screen last night (Best Buy price matches Amazon, so I got it for $15 with free application).

Hmm so you think If I were to go in and say the front camera was displaced they'd do a free replacement.

  3. My first iPhone 3GS got wet because I was careless and caseless, the replacement got wet because I was being stupid. My LG Xenon years ago got a cracked screen, and had to replace that because I threw the phone into a seatbelt out of anger. Now I'm so overly cautious, but still clumsy. I'm just glad I haven't broke an iPhone screen ever.

I'm usually super cautious but yesterday I was sitting in the car I had my phone in my lap and I just forgot it was there cause I had other things in my hand. I already told my mom she said I gotta wait so until then I'll be sitting around with the crackle jackle iPhone 6. I'm kinda embarrassed to have a cracked 6 and I only had it for a month.

Ironically enough it landed right on the concrete and there's not a scratch or scuff on the back or the sides. The screen took the full load of damage, and tbh it didn't even crack that bad either. I think my thick privacy screen helped a little, but now when I get a new screen at least the phone itself won't look mad ugly with scratches and scuffs.

  4. Oh my god I know...

I took my case off earlier and just had it next to me on the couch. I moved slightly and it slid into the abyss of couch cracks. I didn't hear it slide and had to search for it.

  5. The rounded sides don't help. This phone is slicker than an ice cube with WD-40 sprayed on it. As much as I want to use this phone naked, it's just too slick. I've finally settled on a slim, matted case that has squared the sides. Grip is no longer an issue.

  6. The rich people isn't a term to describe, well, anyone where I live. Though if I do upgrade it will be the 64 GB. I'm advising everyone else to go to the 64 too.

Lol , you definitely should, it's well worth the extra hundred Apple charges for it. But I do think they could lower the GB intervals by 50$. So It'd be $199, $249, 299$. Apple would most definitely double their sales if they did that.

  7. I guess you run with a more technically proficient crowd than I do, Isaiah. Most of my friends and acquaintances buy the 16 GB model, then turn to me for help when it's full. :(

Lol , well I live around the rich people lol. They love their iPhones and definitely know the difference between 16 and 64, and they were snatching em up. Me , I planned for the 32 but when it was unveiled as 64 I was even more hyped. I had a summer job and I put 150$ aside and traded in my phone to cover the rest.

  8. 79. They just gave me a new one because he said it would be easier and cheaper to do that. I'm not entirely sure what he said but I just opted for the new phone anyways because I didn't want to worry about internal damage (bending etc)

Wow not bad, I would've gotten a new one too lol. Better to have a completely new phone no dents and what not.

  9. Oh sorry. Didn't see that part... Yeh. When I do it it usually pops up over and over and over. I think it has something to do with if you might've ever synced a different phone to your computer. It tries to go through every Apple ID address. Usually it populates the Apple ID for me which isn't mine...

So I just enter my Apple ID over and over until it disappears. Usually takes about 3 times for me. I just got my phone replaced through AppleCare the other day and it did the same thing. Hasn't done it since.

Ohh yeah I remember you cracked your phone lol. How much did they charge you to replace it?

  10. Just enter your Apple ID and pw and it goes away. This happens to me every tome after a restore. And it won't stop until I enter it

He said he did that already and it didn't work, what else do you think it could be?

  11. "Mostly everyone" is not accurate. Go into any retail location that sells iPhones. The 16gb is definitely the best seller. That being said, since the 64 replaced the 32 the sales of 64 have gone up, but definitely not mostly everyone.

I don't think that's completely true, because in the initial release of the iPhone 6 even with restocks the 64GB is the main one that stayed sold out at least in my area. While the 16GB was in stock. Most people buying the new iPhones are previous iPhone users who have had 16GB and they know it's not enough storage so they opt for the larger storage.

  12. So this keeps popping up on my screen about once or twice a day. I haven't been able to figure out why.

I had already entered my id and all durning set up.

That use to happen to me on my iPhone 5, it could either be because you have content from another Apple user (I.E. music, apps etc) and they want you to login and verify you have permission to have that content or you restored your phone from a backup and it wants you to login for whatever reason. The only way I got it to stop was to restore my phone and set it up brand new.

  13. The one thing that irritates me on the iOS side is the storage situation. It is time for Apple to start bumping the base storage up to 32GB.

That's why mostly everyone owns the 64GB

That's the one I have and I love it, for the first time ever I can have movies and tv shows on my phone.

  14. I'm shocked T-Mobile is giving max speed at 8mbps. Why not let them have full speed until they hit their cap? T-Mobile is the data strong network and has the more bandwidth per customer so it should be able to handle it until their cap is hit. They already do it with the regular plans. Maybe the network is starting to slow.

That's my point lol maybe they are showing down

  15. The author is clueless. This is exact same thing tmobile does with postpaid plans: high speed bucket then get slowed down. Nothing new.

The 8mbps is new and it's same policy as cricket.

What can anyone really do with 8mb, my real question would be is why is TM, limiting their customers and it's 4G bandwidth?
