  1. Did anyone that pre ordered this November 14 form Sprint get a credit for the decrease in price. I have gone in circles for a week trying to get this completed. Yesterday after being on the phone for an hour trying to accomplish this the rep said that she needed to get a supervisor to accomplish this. She came back 7-10 minutes later, and said I figured out why we were unable to get this done. You don't have a Google phone you have a Motorola phone.....therefore we can not switch the contract because you don't actually have a Google Nexus. You have a Motorola phone some how and we can not switch that because you are not suppose to have a Motorola phone. When I told her that in fact that this is a Google Nexus 6, and it was made by Motorola she said that I was not paying attention to her and that she needed to end the conversation and get someone else to help me. rofl I then said to her that you told me that this is not a Google phone and that it was a Motorola phone that is why this price can't be swithced correct....she said yes, then I that said I heard you, but I disagree with your facts, and that's where we have issues. She said that's correct but you don't want to believe me so I can't help you if you won't accept what I am telling you. I then said you was supposed to get your supervisor, but you came to this conlcusion about this not being a Google Nexus all on your own, and because I disagree with you you won't entertain the thought of me being right, and you being wrong so just get your supervisor, as you said you would do over a half hour ago. She then said, you should be thanking me because with out me you would not know that your problem is that you have the Motorola phone when it should be a Google phone. I then said where would I be without your infinite wisdom. Thank god I had you to clue me in to this invaluable bit of information, and proceeded to LMAO! It seems to do this I must go to a corporate store turn in the phone, and restart another contract at the lower rate or take a credit for 49.00 and still pay the EZ pay 29.00 a month. I think that the Easiest way is to take the credit and pay 29.00 ez pay or just get it swapped out by the 5th and start over to get it priced as it should be.
  2. I agree with Nexgen, This is far from perfect, and the screen, and front facing dual speakers is what appeals to me as well as the update factor. The Note Edge is the future phablet, and had it come with the rural partner roaming I may have leaned more towards it. I am thinking Nexus 7 64 cpu may get me next year as well. Battery life depends on how its used I have made well over18 hours on a charge with calls surfing the web, and 10 minutes of Netflix, and a half hour of Google navigation. I have way bettter antenna signal than the N5 in my opinion as this gets LTE band 2600 inside my home where as the Nexus 5 did not. This seems to get stronger 3g signal than my N5 in my basment it does not drop calls like the N5 did. There are bugs it is big dare I say almost too big, but as a daily driver I can surf the web, and watch Netflix on a larger screen, while recieving better antenna signal. The camera during the day is sharper the the N5, and people seem to hear me more clearly when I am on the head set, and while on the speaker and microphone. The screeen is not as bright as the N5 and when standing outside in the Sun light the N5 is defintiely brighter. The screen brightnessis almost a deal breaker, but there are more pluses than cons. "If" you would like fast updates that go beyond a year, and want a bigger screen this may be what you like. The round back feels good in the hand butr a solid case keeps it laying flat any way. The N6 is well built, and software flaws will be addressed as were they with thge N5 in the beginning. What's Good: Well built Ergonomic feel albeit large size not for everyone Sammy: says Note 5 will sport a 6" screen too....go figure rofl Screen real Estate plenty big Gorgeous screen colors Great for movies/browsing the web Holds on to LTE, and recieves LTE better than the N5 per my having both on in places at same time Dual front facing speakers louder then N5 by far Clearer speaker phone mic feature Stronger Wifi antenna Should get Android updates longer than most other Android handsets Better battery life Notification display works well for me Bad: Bugs galore, Google Play loads sometime someitmes does not; certain apps freeze as does my phone dialer at times Almost too big to handle; for many it is too big to handle $648.00 for inaccurate screen is a crime 50 minutes less battery life than Note 4, but this has to light up a bigger screen realisticly speaking this is a wash because of a laregr screen size Notifications can been seen by anyone if they are not managed privacy goes out the door lol can be managed through prioritizing Screen is not as bright as Nexus 5 and holding both device outside it really is apparent N5 outdoors way better Screen sometimes appears yellow when surfing internet adaptive brightness may be culprit These are the things that I have noticed, and experienced in my last week with the phone, and with software updates I feel that it will get better. I can live with the lower nit screen in lieu of the screen size and gorgeeous display, dual front facingspeakers, and better antenna performance. This definitely holds on to a signal far better than the N5, and when on speaker phone people don't say that I sound garbled any more. This is an in between phablet with excellent mutimedia capeabilities that may evolve as software bugs are eradicated. It could have been smaller, but iPhone needs a competitor and it best that 6+ in many ways. Sammy says that the Note 5 will be 6" also so get use to larger phablets it seems inevitable. Anything larger than this is a deal breaker for me, but since I wear a size 12 ring and. can wrap my hand around the whole phone and touch middle finger to my thumb while doing this it's a go size wise for "me".
  3. My only gripe so far is the whites are pale when compared to the Nexus 5. My screen when reading news on the news sites looks like a I am reading a vanailla news paper. My Nexus 5 renders web sites in a pure bright white while the Nexus 6 is vanilla. Anyone else notice this.
  4. The screen on this phone is gorgeous. It is not as bright as the Nexus 5 but you can see it in sun light. The Nexus 5 excels in day light but it is not a deal breaker for me as I thought it might be
  5. OK.....it is in my hands, and it is a gorgeous device. I can wrap my whole hand around the device middle finger to thumb touching. To me it feels as if it is the same size as an iPhone 6+. Size is subjective to the user. It Make's my Nexus 5 look like a toy. This phone is not for gurly men. To me it feels no different size wise the the Note 4, or iPhone 6+. One a side Note, I held and played with a note edge. Lol. What an innovative gorgeous device. Don't knock that unless you try it. Any way back to this beast of a phone. The color suits the look, and it really feels good in my hand. I will phatty with this and find out more about viewing this outside.
  6. So the critics are mostly opinionated about this phone in retrospect to the bad reviews. Size is subjective unless it is iPhone.....it is reinvented.lol
  7. How does rf compare to the Nexus 5..... Tomorrow I will have mine.
  8. I will be in at work by 7am to try mine out..... Grrrrrr.
  9. Over night from USPS....19.99. Guaranteed by three pm
  10. Lol.... If I could I would, However; I have keys and I can get it after I am done, but that brings me to a 5:30pm departure time and a 6:45 arrival time then an hour and a half ride home.
  11. I got a delivery at my office this morning. I will be an hour away all day. To get it I will have a 2 1/2 hour drive including driving home. I guess I will get it tomorrow... Or not. Lol
  12. One more day, but I got lollipop update on my Nexus 5
  13. Mine hitched a ride on the same truck. It now shows in N.Y.
  14. I got my tracking number and it will be delivered Thursday to my office. That day they decide to send me an hour away for the day so it won't be until Friday now. Aaaaaargh. On a side note T-Mobile is selling the 64 gig unit for 29.00 ez pay or 699.00.....damn Sprint need s to wake up.
  15. It seems to me the last time that I called that Sprint may just be trying to over haul their customer satisfaction. They may have just charged you taxes up front and put you on EZ pay.
  16. I just thought I would tell some of you guys why EZ Pay may just be as good if not better than a contract. I personally think that it is better. Yesterday I bought A Nexus 6 from Sprint, and it only cost me the price of the total amount of the phone in taxes. Sprint's no contract plan is like a reverse contract plan. Pay $29.00 a month, and sign up for the $60.00 unlimited plan and you will have the phone paid off in two years just like the contact plan with no upfront cost. I just need to add that if you pay the phone off early you go back to the $85.00 a month unlimited every thing plan....go figure....all in all still a good deal, and you can upgrade yearly by paying the phone off. My unlimited plan now cost $85.00 for calls, text, and data no throttling. With the Nexus 6 on the $60.00 unlimited text, and data plan I pay an additional $29.00 monthly for a total of $89.00. This is $4.00 more a month than I am paying now and my enrollment cost was only the cost of the taxes for this phone. There is no interest like when paying a credit card, and you can pay off the phone early at any time. The catch is you must have good credit, or be with Sprint for a few years....that's it. Tax cost vary state by state, and anyone that moans at this deal just wants it for free, and doesn't deserve it! I ended up paying $54.00 total cost because I called to find out why my taxes were so high, because I thought my tax rate was 9%, and they said that since I was with them since 1997 that they would credit my next bill 30.00 and make the adjustment now so I would not have to worry or call back! I was not expecting this because you can't escape death or taxes, and if the rate was what they charged me so be it. I also did not pay an activation fee. Food for thought.....yes?
  17. I was told this by some one but after reading this this morning I ordered a Nexus 6 that should arrive by Monday or Tuesday. Thanks for your always knowledgeable response.
  18. I ORDERED A NEXUS 6 TODAY FOR THE PRICE OF TAXES OF THE FULL COST ON THE EZ PAY PLAN THANKS TO A.J. I was paying $85.00 for unlimited with my Nexus 5 but with the new ez pay I pay 60.00 + 29.00 which is only $4.00 more per month. I was told that the Note edge had CCA roaming capabilities, and almost bought it because of that and the features along side a great screen. A.J. made it clear to me that my best choice was the N6. I should have in in two days I was told at 8:15am today.
  19. AJ which phone are you considering purchasing, or if you are not purchasing a phone which would you buy today the N6 or the Note edge.
  20. It's this or the Nexus 6, but the N6 lower nit screen performance is a slight deterrence for me. Who here is definitely buying this. rural agreement cat 6 device with great screen, and camera performance is as future proof as it gets. N6 and lollipop or this ehlp a brother make the rational choice. I know this cost more but I will only need to upgrade fora 64 bit CPU rather than have to upgrade for cat 6 future speeds this has it baked in. If this were 64 bit I would not even think about this. The Note 4 is omitted purely because it has no rural roaming or cat 6 feature.
  21. I like my N5 and wonder if I can find it in a store to play with it. This or the Note Edge for me....I want rural roaming bands or I would consider the Note 4! I need to see if the screen lack luster nit performance will be a deal breaker. Loving the speaker and battery/screen size even though it lags behind the Note 4 it beats the Note Edge in the battery department. I found a store that claims to have them a day ago hopefully I can try both units out. I feel that the Note edge is way over priced, but the rural roaming and better performance for 6.00 more on easy pay evens things out just a bit! I already ordered a Nexus 6 case, and now I may need a Note edge case....ROFL....decisions decisions. Anyone want to help me just pull the trigger on buying Lollipop 5 and the N6 with lack luster screen, and camera performance over the Note Edge based on the reasons I may get the Note Edge?
  22. Typing Swype and a small box can kill a word or two. Long hand...The Note Edge has rural roaming, but most 1st time device's have MFG flaws, and the price is way too high. The lackluster screen of the Nexus 6 leaves a lot to be desired, for the price. Friday I will have to evaluate all three, but for a better screen, and rural roaming the Note edge has my attention. I wanted a larger screen, but dual speakers and a mediocre screen is mehat that price. I tried to edit, and could not then I got busy at work
  23. Based on the andandtech and other reviews I think I may just os on this device. The screen accuracy is killing me, as well as just OK camera. Note edge has rural rushing but price is way off, but I will look at that our a note 4 I think. Friday I will check all three, I do the nor edge will have 1st time mfg flaws...meh
