  1. My one complaint so far is just the amount of bloatware that came with it.  Especially, the Sprint and Samsung apps you could not disable or uninstall.

Did you order from Sprint or Samsung. I ordered from Samsung directly to avoid carrier bloat. I hope it works out that way for me.

  2. BGR reports that sprint and Tmobile are finalizing merger talks in an all stock transaction... This is the basis of Google fi, and things are not so rosy with my fi phone.... Google prioritizes speed over reception and it default more towards Tmobile even if the signal reception is weak..

This will be great if they can get it right, but bad for my sprint unlimited plan I think..... Anyone else.

  3. Fierce Wireless shows that Sprint is trying to update it's status with this tidbit of information on CA for the Note 7.

There are times when I see a HD light  on at the top of my Note 7. I am guessing that this is for HD voice. I wonder how this new HD video pla differs from the ol regular unlimited plan that I have....anyone?

  4. When I upgraded to the Note 5 last year, I bought 3 holster cases from Amazon. The clips on the 1st 2 broke within the 1st four weeks. The 3rd holster case was the Supcase Unicorn Beetle Pro. This case is incredible, considering it is less than $20. I've never had any problems with it. However, when initially installing it, I removed the glued-in plastic screen protector as interfered with the glass screen protector I had previously installed. Upon removing the plastic screen protector, the case fit perfectly.

I can't upgrade to the Note 7 until after 9/1/2016, BUT I have already ordered my Supcase.

    Eric

Pay ypur contract out early...the Nexus 6 did not run out until October....I paid it off and own the damn phone.  Way more than I should have paid for it, Google left a Sour taste in my mouth with the lower price of the 6P making the O.G. N6 worthless price wise.

  5. I played with it at Best But yesterday, and compared it to my Nexus 6 O.G. it is such a smaller screen. I did preorder it but a smaller Nexus made me want to skip Nexus this year. This is what I preordered 2 weeks ago.

I own both of these names for my Nexus 6. The Supcase is indestructibe period the best case for your money.

  6. I was on lunch today at tmobile checking out their plan prices. One of the reps came up and asked what service you on?

I said Sprint and she immediately went on this rant on how sprint is slow, ouch etc etc..

So I told her lets do a speediest inside the store. She took out her phone and it was Tmoble 3mb/s down Sprint 6mb/s down.

It was such an awkward silence lol. Tmobile has changed the cellphone industry no doubt, but Legere has them brainwashed at this point.

EDIT: This was at the 34rd st and 8th ave store i think.

Sprint may be in 4th place population wise but that will change...eat this you other carriers you are all on notice we are back with a vengance all of our own....http://www.pcmag.com/Fastest-Mobile-Networks

  7. Okay I know not many people like big phones... But I love the 6" form factor, I just love the screen size. I have yearly upgrades and actually thinking about not upgrading because everything is smaller, and I don't want my upgrade to feel like a downgrade, so I'm just wondering how many out there feel the same, and if you could upgrade now, would you upgrade to any phones Sprint offers at this point?

Note 6 edge is suppose to be 6" and if the 2016 Nexus is 5.2 and 5.5 only I will buy the Note 6....ADios Nexus....I love the software upgrades but inconsistent design and a smaller size is driving me nuts. The N6P should have had a better screen as far as outside viewing brightness.....I can't see a damn thing in the sunlight.

I love the size, and if the Note 6 is truly going to be 6" and the Nexus will not....I'' bite the bullet.

I seem to possibly have bugs on a locked N6 with the OTA N preview....I can't  seem to get 3 g signal bars although it shows connected to 3g, and it seems to drop from LTE to 3g more frequently.  I seem to have issues sending picture texts, and some apps are laggy or fail to load properly. Pictures that are stored on the device don't display properly as well.

  8. i haven't moved to 5.0.1 yet but my buddy, who is also on Sprint, says the texting issue is NOT solved.  neither is the mute sounds when pressing volume down on the rocker.  lowest is still vibrate or 1.

I AM ON SPRINT AND i NEVER HAD A DOUBLE TEST ISSUE, AND I ALSO GOT THE 5.01 2 DAYS AGO!

  9. looks like textra has issues as well.  very delayed in sending most or fail.

I HAVE BEEN USING TEXTRA FOR YEARS AND I CAN TELL YOU ON MY NEXUS 6 I HAVE NO MISSENT,OR REPETITIVE TEXT!

WHEN I last had repetitive text it was the network deployment that casued this, maybe some of this is a network issue as well.

  10. Did anyone that pre ordered this November 14 form Sprint get a credit for the decrease in price. I have gone in circles for a week trying to get this completed. Yesterday after being on the phone for an hour trying to accomplish this the rep said that she needed to get a supervisor to accomplish this. She came back 7-10 minutes later, and said I figured out why we were unable to get this done.

You don't have a Google phone you have a Motorola phone.....therefore we can not switch the contract because you don't actually have a Google Nexus. You have a Motorola phone some how and we can not switch that because you are not suppose to have a Motorola phone. When I told her that in fact that this is a Google Nexus 6, and it was made by Motorola she said that I was not paying attention to her and that she needed to end the conversation and get someone else to help me. rofl

I then said to her that you told me that this is not a Google phone and that it was a Motorola phone that is why this price can't be swithced correct....she said yes, then I that said I heard you, but I disagree with your facts, and that's where we have issues. She said that's correct but you don't want to believe me so I can't help you if you won't accept what I am telling you.

I then said you was supposed to get your supervisor, but you came to this conlcusion about this not being a Google Nexus all on your own, and because I disagree with you you won't entertain the thought of me being right, and you being wrong so just get your supervisor, as you said you would do over a half hour ago. She then said, you should be thanking me because with out me you would not know that your problem is that you have the Motorola phone when it should be a Google phone. I then said where would I be without your infinite wisdom. Thank god I had you to clue me in to this invaluable bit of information, and proceeded to LMAO!

It seems to do this I must go to a corporate store turn in the phone, and restart another contract at the lower rate or take a credit  for 49.00 and still pay the EZ pay 29.00 a month. I think that the Easiest way is to take the credit and pay 29.00 ez pay or just get it swapped out by the 5th and start over to get it priced as it should be.

  11. Well I wouldn't go that far. Like I said, most of the issues can get fixed in a future update. Size and price is subjective. If one doesn't like a stylus, or an overlay and wants pure Android, the Nexus is basically the best and (for the most part) the only device to get. All these flagships are price high and for the most part are huge. So like I said, price and size wouldn't matter. The part that is odd is the engineering screen missing. I hope I am wrong, but something tells me this is the way it will be in the future.

    None taken. :)

my opinion is but a drop of water in an ocean. It's only what I have experienced so far. I still haven't decided whether to keep it or not. I only have one week to decide though.

This phone is far from perfect, no engineering screen access does suck.

But all in all its heads and shoulders above the N5 in everyway. Especially radio scan times, it switches from 3g to LTE substantially quicker than the N5 besides the fact that it just has better overall signal.

Most bugs will most likely be squashed with a few updates. But none of those bugs would make me switch to a Samsung device..no knock at you spirits.

    Great cam

    Front facing speakers

Latest android version, lollipop has massive amounts of hidden goodies.

    Overall excellent device.

I agree with Nexgen, This is far from perfect, and the screen, and front facing dual speakers is what appeals to me as well as the update factor. The Note Edge is the future phablet, and had it come with the rural partner roaming I may have leaned more towards it. I am thinking Nexus 7 64 cpu may get me next year as well. Battery life depends on how its used I have made well over18 hours on a charge with calls surfing the web, and 10 minutes of Netflix, and a half hour of Google navigation. I have way bettter antenna signal than the N5 in my opinion as this gets LTE band 2600 inside my home where as the Nexus 5 did not. This seems to get stronger 3g signal than my N5 in my basment it does not drop calls like the N5 did.

There are bugs it is big dare I say almost too big, but as a daily driver I can surf the web, and watch Netflix on a larger screen, while recieving better antenna signal. The camera during the day is sharper the the N5, and people seem to hear me more clearly when I am on the head set, and while on the speaker and microphone. The screeen is not as bright as the N5 and when standing outside in the Sun light the N5 is defintiely brighter. The screen brightnessis almost a deal breaker, but there are more pluses than cons. "If" you would like fast updates that go beyond a year, and want a bigger screen this may be what you like. The round back feels good in the hand butr a solid case keeps it laying flat any way. The N6 is well built, and software flaws will be addressed as were they with thge N5 in the beginning.

    What's Good:

    Well built

Ergonomic feel albeit large size not for everyone Sammy: says Note 5 will sport a 6" screen too....go figure rofl

    Screen real Estate plenty big

    Gorgeous screen colors

    Great for movies/browsing the web

Holds on to LTE, and recieves LTE better than the N5 per my having both on in places at same time

Dual front facing speakers louder then N5 by far

    Clearer speaker phone mic feature

    Stronger Wifi antenna

Should get Android updates longer than most other Android handsets

    Better battery life

Notification display works well for me

    Bad:

Bugs galore, Google Play loads sometime someitmes does not; certain apps freeze as does my phone dialer at times

Almost too big to handle; for many it is too big to handle

$648.00 for inaccurate screen is a crime

50 minutes less battery life than Note 4, but this has to light up a bigger screen realisticly speaking this is a wash because of a laregr screen size

Notifications can been seen by anyone if they are not managed privacy goes out the door lol can be managed through prioritizing

Screen is not as bright as Nexus 5 and holding both device outside it really is apparent N5 outdoors way better

Screen sometimes appears yellow when surfing internet adaptive brightness may be culprit

These are the things that I have noticed, and experienced in my last week with the phone, and with software updates I feel that it will get better. I can live with the lower nit screen in lieu of the screen size and gorgeeous display, dual front facingspeakers, and better antenna performance. This definitely holds on to a signal far better than the N5, and when on speaker phone people don't say that I sound garbled any more. This is an in between phablet with excellent mutimedia capeabilities that may evolve as software bugs are eradicated. It could have been smaller, but iPhone needs a competitor and it best that 6+ in many ways.

Sammy says that the Note 5 will be 6" also so get use to larger phablets it seems inevitable. Anything larger than this is a deal breaker for me, but since I wear a size 12 ring and. can wrap my hand around the whole phone and touch middle finger to my thumb while doing this it's a go size wise for "me".

  12. My only gripe so far is the whites are pale when compared to the Nexus 5. My screen when reading news on the news sites looks like a I am reading a vanailla news paper. My Nexus 5 renders web sites in a pure bright white while the Nexus 6 is vanilla. Anyone else notice this.

  13. OK.....it is in my hands, and it is a gorgeous device. I can wrap my whole hand around the device middle finger to thumb touching.

To me it feels as if it is the same size as an iPhone 6+. Size is subjective to the user. It Make's my Nexus 5 look like a toy. This phone is not for gurly men. To me it feels no different size wise the the Note 4, or iPhone 6+.

One a side Note, I held and played with a note edge. Lol. What an innovative gorgeous device. Don't knock that unless you try it.

Any way back to this beast of a phone. The color suits the look, and it really feels good in my hand. I will phatty with this and find out more about viewing this outside.

  14. It holds LTE like a beast so far, drove from the Bronx to midtown and back, have no idea what the 3G logo looks like. Have yet to drop to 3G even in an elevator.

B26 performance in particular seems a lot better than my G3.

How does rf compare to the Nexus 5..... Tomorrow I will have mine.
