  1. Yep, updated everything. I had also been experiencing the data call failure error 67 as well but it has been resolved. It just started picking up a Sprint voice signal yesterday (my wife's Iphone 5 was roaming as well) in addition to the LTE signal. Now, the only problem is that text messages are being delayed, sometimes by as much as an hour! I'm sure that it will get worked out eventually. The $50 credit I received helps. I also received an Airrave yesterday to address any signal issues at the house. I am going to hold onto it till they get the area officially launched.
  2. Well, hopefully that means that I will no longer be roaming on Verizon. That is my tower, very close to my house, and I started pulling LTE yesterday afternoon but I was still roaming on VZW for 1X voice. Very annoying.
  3. LTE coverage was on and off yesterday from the Chapel Hill area. My local tower in Cuyahoga Falls appears to have been shut down last night as I was roaming on Verizon for Data and for voice this morning.
  4. Why not wait to see what is in store for Q1-Q2 2014? I have the same phone as you do and while I am looking forward to upgrading , I want to future proof my choice as much as possible. I know that you can make the argument that the next big thing is always right around the corner but it just seems like my current upgrade cycle always puts me right at the edge of the next great phone....
  5. I am in the same boat in the same market. I am up for an upgrade and want to future proof my phone as much as possible but I am intrigued by the note 3 and at the same time I am put off by the fact that it is only single band device. Are the cool features worth the single band coverage? I do have to wonder how much of a detriment that will be in the CLE market though? I thought that I would be picking up an LTE signal by now in my hometowm of Cuyahoga Falls. I may just go with the GS4 & break the HTC buying trend of the last 4 years or show a little reatraint and patience by waiting for the S5!
  6. I work in Aurora and I've been experiencing poor connections and dropped calls for the past week.
  7. I am not a fanboy just a guy who has had Sprint as my carrier for nearly 15 years. I was 'short changed' on WiMax and though about jumping ship but decided to hang tight based upon what I saw coming down the road with Sprint. I can say that LTE is close enough for me to taste it and while I had hoped that I would have had it by now, I'm not ready to jump when my contract is up in January. When it really comes down to it, I don't NEED LTE coverage, it is a luxury. One that is going to be cheaper than the current alternatives and will eventually get here. Sure, I've had an LTE EVO since its launch and have only been on an LTE signal a few times but I can tell you that when I traveled to a market with LTE saturation, the experience was positive. I have no reason to believe that by the time that the upgrade is complete, I will have the same feelings about my home market. Other than for bragging rights and speedtest screenshots, LTE is a novelty for me as 95% of my day is spend with a WIFI signal.
  8. Where is this tower located? I am local to the area and drive through there all the time.
  9. Hopefully they will continue on South into the Akron area. I am in Cuyahoga Falls, Wimax stopped a bit North of me so I'm a bit salty!

    No 4g option?

Settings > mobile network > network mode > select CDMA.
  11. Best Buy emailed me to let me know that it is ready for pick up today!
  12. Best Buy CS just told me they will have my order ready for pickup on the 29th......I hope they are wrong.
  13. I just called Best Buy Customer service to inquire about about my order and they told me that my expected release date is 5/29......I hope they are wrong.
  14. This is the same message I received at 12:47 AM.........
  15. Just received an update email from Best Buy stating that my pick up date has changed from 5/18 to 5/23. Hopefully this means that the wheels are turning again and the phones are moving through customs......
  16. I just called Best Buy and provided my order number. They said that while they are aware that there may be some delays, my phone is still on schedule to be delivered on 5/17. Hopefully this is is valid information.
  17. C'mon....lie to me. Tell me we've been bumped up on the schedule!
  18. Yep! Its either that or get really frustrated with being cut off in the midle of the conversation. The worst part is that it happened while talking to my cousin who lives in Dayton. You see, he has an Iphone on AT&T and always has signal problems because his coverage is terrible. SInce I always bust on him about it, he is now getting even with me! I know what will make me forget about the dropped calls......pre-ordering the new EVO tomorrow
  19. I have been experiencing an increased number of dropped calls over the past week or so. My market is mentioned as one of the legacy markets that may have the tower to tower handoff issue like Chicago so I am wondering if this is a good sign that maybe they are beginning the upgrade process? If so, I say bring on the dropped calls! Great site BTW! Brian
  20. Thanks Robert, great site here, glad I found it!
  21. So what DOES this mean for cities mentioned in the picture? My city is right next to Akron, Ohio and I am curious about the odds of us getting lit up with LTE service. I am an original EVO owner and I am now eligible for my 2yr upgrade. Since I am still waiting on WIMAX, I am a bit skeptical on LTE rollout promises. Still love the phone, service and plan that Sprint provides, I would just like to be part of the 'in crowd' with the next generation of 4G! Any insight would be appreciated.
