  1. I think with in 5 years Sprint will be the best carrier in the world for LTE. Sprint has about 65 MHz of Spectrum in the top markets and its main partner Clearwire has over 150 MHz. The combination of this spectrum is over double what Verizon or AT&T have. If all the spectrum is used for LTE then download speeds for a single on the network should be about 2 Gbps. This should equivalent to 1 Gbps if not more for a loaded tower.
  2. Waiting for the beast 4G LTE, Quad Core, 2GB Ram, LG Phone. I would be all over that thing!
  3. I have Sprint and roam offen in my house. It usually takes me 4-5 seconds max to send a text on Sprint's network but roaming forget about texting. My messages almost never get sent if I am roaming. If it were not for iMessage then I would not be able tot text my friends and family (most have iPhones)
  4. Towers will look different depending on location. Some towers may not have iDen technology at them as well. The best way to check for updates is go to www.nextelnetwork.sprint.com
  5. This is an older topic for your information. The car has already got over 100,000 miles on it and has been in testing since early last year
  6. I have experienced many problems in my house and certain parts of my town. Most these problems have been fixed with the temporary upgrades but can't wait till NV come through my town this Fall
  7. I am interested in what that #106 is Hope one of these devices to a phablet!
  8. I personally do not like the Droid Incredible series. Before coming to Sprint I owned the 2nd generation and it was not what I wanted in a phone making get the iPhone.
  9. Anyone notice this diagram was made back on 4/11? The Galaxy S III was just probably exiting beta! I bet that mystery device is something like the new Photon or maybe a Windows Phone 8 Device
  10. I am just waiting to see reviews from users and blogs like Engadget before purchasing if the HTC Evo LTE is not as good as it sounds then I will just wait for the Samsung Galaxy S III or iPhone 5
  11. May purchase undecided Just got Galaxy Nexus but thinking of adding another line for Evo LTE
  12. I recently got th phone and love it but there are some drawbacks including weak signal and also weak wifi. I had an iPhone prior to the Galaxy Nexus that had being ale to connect to my houses wifi from my room. Now the Galaxy Nexus does not but if it does i barely can use it. The Galaxy Nexus also has weak signal coated to the iPhone. I still use the iPhone and I get 3 to 5 bars regularly. The Galaxy Nexus usually has 2 to 3 bars. The final drawback I have is th battery. From switching from an iPhone to the Galaxy Nexus has been hard for battery life. I could use the iPhone with Moderate to Heavy use and still have a charge after 6 to 7 hours. With the Galaxy Nexus I usually get 4 to 5 hours with Moderate to Heavy use.
  13. I get constant speeds of 1 Mbps to 1.5 Mbps through out the day In some areas of my town speeds though are as low as 200 Kbps
  14. If you figure out how let me know I would like to install similar system for my house because services is horrible
  15. I am currently deciding between the Galaxy Nexus and Evo 4G LTE. I am upgrading from the iPhone 4S to one of these phones. Which phone? Also who ever owns the Galaxy Nexus please list pros and cons of owning the Galaxy Nexus
  16. Amazing speeds wish I could get speeds like that To bad Southwest Florida does not start till the Fall timing Till then I have to live with Sprint's dumb 3G
  17. He means if the price is $399 off contract for Sprint the he would most likely buy Or so I believe
  18. Sprint is committed on delivering a hotspot that will support LTE, WiMax, and 3G. Nothing about a 4G LTE usb modem yet. All Sprint devices will not support 800 MHz spectrum for LTE till late 2013 and 2.5 MHz spectrum from Clearwire will not be in devices till early 2013. Make sure to keep this in your mind when you buy a phone, USB modem, or hotspot
  19. Rumors are going flying saying a new Motorola Photon is coming to the market this year. It will have the name of Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE. This phone should include features such as 4G LTE, Webtop Connection and at least 8 mega-pixel camera. One interesting piece is the Q in the name. The Q is said to stand for quad-core showing a possible quarter 3 release. We can believe this is a Quarter 3 release because the Tegra 3 with LTE support will not come to the market till Quarter 3. Anyone think about how cool this phone would be?
  20. I recently read an article saying Clearwire is starting a major move to LTE. With an expected reach of 5000 base stations in mid-2013 and another 3000 soon afterwards. My question is why. Why only deploy 8000 base stations. Lightsquared just failed in getting a new nationwide network built. This is Cleariwire's time to shine. Clearwire cloud easily sign all partners of Lightsquared to new deals. Then Clearwire can possibly make a network sharing deal with Sprint similar to the one made with Lightsquared. This would give Sprint more capacity which we know Sprint will need and offer a major threat to the big two, Verizon and AT&T. Why not Clearwire, why not?
  21. iOS will become dominate in 2012 not Android. Android is a great operating system but the iPhone has more advantages like syncing to iTunes, iCloud, and a bigger selection of apps. Also iOS is completely controlled by Apple with no custom skins allowing devices to receive updates right out of the gate. Thirdly iOS has better hardware at better prices. A phone like the Galaxy Nexus at release had only a 5 mega-pixel camera and 1.2 GHZ Processor while being priced at $299 but the iPhone 4S with a 8 mega-pixel camera and 1.2 GHZ Processor is only $199. The only difference really is the camera and LTE. Research has shown that LTE Chips currently cost only $32 more than 3G chips. Fourthly fragmentation will kill Android. I love Android personally but hate how certain apps are on one phone but not another. Netflix originally only worked on 9 devices at launch and took another 6 months to get 11 more devices. Netflix launched on all phones and tablets right out of the gate with iOS. Personally I love Android but before it can succeed changes are needed. Google needs to became more strict with custom skins and hardware. If hardware was similar with small differences like screen size and software was flat out the same then updates would easily be pushed out to almost all Android Devices. Windows Phone will destroy Android also. I hate Windows Phone personally but it has lots of promise.
  22. Personally I think it was dumb of Clearwire and Sprint to stop rolling out WiMax. If Clearwire were to roll out nationwide WiMax using a 20x20 configuration and a nationwide LTE network again 20x20 configuration with Sprint's checkbook. WiMax was already rolling good before Verizon's LTE Network started up why not keep the momentum and finish the job. 150 MHZ of is a lot for Clearwire with another 65 MHZ I believe from Sprint. this is a total over over 200 MHz. Think about 100 MHZ devoted to LTE from the 2.5, 1900 and 800 spectrum while 100 MHZ devoted to WiMax from the 2.5 spectrum. All I could imagine is 1 Gbps download speeds if not more.
  23. Hope this is true because I use an HTC Evo Shift has my iPod
  24. Hope it does Going to Dallas in June and I will make sure to have my HTC Evo 4G LTE by then to do speed tests
