  1. A couple of firends at work have Verizon and from time to time their phones cannot get an LTE signal. I think our work location is at the edge of that towers reach so the signal goes in and out. This a prime example of Verizon 700Mhz LTE having farther reach but not as dense coverage.
  2. You probably had a weak signal. I ran speedtest while I was mapping that area on Sensorly and got as high as 31 MBps average was in the high teens. The tower is at Morris Park & Fowler Av
  3. Some places in the city are still without power, crazy! The Bronx will be pretty much blanketed by early next year. I wonder if my complaints to the FCC has anything to do with them prioritizing the Bronx lol. But on a serious note having a good data connection changes the user experience dramatically and is so refreshing not to have constant drop outs and buffering.
  4. Robert is it possible Sprint would announce LTE in the Bronx and Manhattan before the other boro's? If not then an official launch won't be anytime this year Kinda shocking not to see LTE pop up anywhere else but those 2 places.
  5. I'll map it next time i'm in that area I've been mapping like crazy. I did the Pelham Pkwy, Morris Park & Eastchester area earlier this week
  6. You are right. I assumed I was on Morris Park Av but it was actually Bronxdale Av
  7. I believe this is the tower. I was about 100 feet away when I got the 31 MBps speed
  8. Just mapped the newly discovered LTE on Morris Park Av and it's on Sensorly now for your viewing pleasure
  9. Last week I mapped some areas along Morris Park and Williamsbridge Rd. But that must've been from another tower becuase the signal wasn't all that great.
  10. I knew it required GPS to map points but I didn't realize that the phone wasn't able to lock my cooridinates, hence causing Sensorly iuuses
  11. Yes it is the Bronx ....someone always seem to ask that
  12. Remember that tower that had consistently good 3G until recently. Well turns out they were indeed working on it becuase now I got LTE baby.....19 MBps down and 9 Mbps up -97 dbm signal strength. For some reason Sensorly doesn't want to map the location. Keep saying 0 LTE points.
  13. What I've noticed is that my phone (Note II) tries to stay connected to a very weak LTE signal even when 3G signal is much better. Sometimes the LTE signal is so weak it is not even usable, meaning the phone isn't able to transmit nor receive data. Very annoying but I guess it will be a non issue once LTE coverage becomes more prevalent
  14. Fastest speed i've seen so far on my way to work.
  15. The one place I had pretty good 3G is now terrible. Hopefully that means they are getting LTE ready, trying to stay positive here
  16. LOL more like 1ST quater 2013. And Sandy has little to do with it too....NYC is progressing but at snail pace.
