  1. USB 2.0 has a maximum theoretical thru put of 480Mbps so it should not present a bottle neck
  2. Like an external modem or NIC card from back in the day LOL
  3. If my router was the problem I still would not be able to get higher speeds on my desktop/media pc's. Not sure i'm following you. Anyway don't want to stray too far off topic so i'll drop it.
  4. Your point would be valid if I were getting the same 35Mbps speeds on my desktop.Hence my ISP connection is not the bottle neck. If you read my post completely you would see where I said I was able to hit almost 60Mbps on my wireless desktop and media pc. While Note 2 never going above 35Mbps.
  5. Surprised no one suggested this before. I have 50Mbps DOWN by 25Mbps UP cable connection at home and my speedtest never go above 35Mbps down on my Note 2 while on my desktop i can hit 58-60Mbps down consistently. When tri-band phones become available we will see the true potential of the new 2500 network. Robert why don't you go back to Denver and re-test the Netgear hotspot using your desktop Pretty please
  6. Probably playing it low key because no tri-band phones are on the market as yet. I wonder why they didn't didn't have Samsung manufacture a tri-band S4, my guess is it would've delayed the launch date and they didn't want to be the only carrier not carrying the device at launch and miss out on new customers.
  7. Bronx and Brooklyn officially launches on July 30th announced by Sprint http://newsroom.sprint.com/news-releases/sprint-brings-4g-lte-and-enhanced-3g-network-improvements-to-the-bronx-and-brooklyn.htm?view_id=7008
  8. Just wondering but shouldn't speeds be higher for such a strong signal? Correct me if i'm wrong but i think i read somewhere that Clearwire LTE network was capable of up to 100 Mbps Especially considering the limited amount of devices that are capable of using 2500/2600 LTE right now. You were probably the only person on that tower LOL
  9. What was the signal strength for the 35 Mbps speedtest you attached?
  10. Sounds good, can't wait to get my hands on a triband phone. Isn't it just Sprint now, not Sprintwire LOL since Clearwire technically doesn't exist anymore.
  11. I was in the downtown area. Sprint is terrible there. Maybe the tower that serves that area is in the process of being upgraded.
  12. I forgot how terrible Sprint data service can be since LTE has been deployed in NYC. I was in Miami over the memorial day weekend and my phone was useless while not connected to wifi. Google maps had a hard time getting navigation data. All i can say is hang in there guys better days must come. I did some Sensorly mapping whenever I noticed I had LTE
  13. When should we expect to see LTE 800 capable devices become available from Sprint?
  14. I don't think he was referring to the entire Android population. Just us geeks as the niche.
  15. I find upgraded 3g adequate for most things I do on my cell phone, except for streaming videos via Plex.
  16. I'm sure the wife will appreciate the scenic ride. The flight lands in the early afternoon so I should be ok. Lots of others might have the same weekend getaway idea like i did so that may influence traffic some what. I'm used to NYC traffic so i'm sure I can handle it, plus i'm on vacation so i'll be a lot more mellow. Thanks for the info.
  17. Is backhaul upgraded on 3G completed sites?
  18. That's good news. Though it's a longer ride I wanted to take the Golden Gate route so that works out perfect.
  19. Hey guys, I'll be flying in to SFO tomorrow to spend the weekend in the Napa area. How is the deployment progresing in Napa? In the Bronx where i'm from LTE has been steadily growing but the signal has been sporadic at best. Discoverable on some days and non existent on others.
  20. The LTE in my area has disappeared since last week. Not even getting good 3g speeds,
  21. Make Unlocking Cell Phones Legal. http://t.co/0HEu9Rr

  22. I was on T-Mobile for a little and while the speeds were great most of the time but i noticed really high latency, sometimes in the 1000's
