  1. I am in South Bend / Mishawaka Indiana for a work trip, and I think I found a new earfcn and Band 25 second carrier. Edit, I see this earfcn is already reported.
  2. For anyone that wants to get their MSL via logcat here are the steps. Root Install Catlog from play store. Open Catlog grant root permission and acknowledge pop-ups. Switch to your dialer Type *#*#3282#*#* Got to the LTE menu, choose edit Where it asks for your service code switch back to Catlog and pause the app Search for LG_SVC_ITEMS It should filter the list down to a few items. One of these items should have a length of 6, you can click on this and there should be a 6 digit number this is your MSL. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  3. I got my MSL by running a logcat on my phone (must be rooted) using the catlog app in the play store. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  4. So to verify, you are saying that these are td-lte and wimax rtus. If so that is great because this site is really close to my work. I pull a - 76 dbm signal on wimax from this site at my desk. Now bring on the triband phones since I am upgrade eligible. :-) Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 4
  5. Can I get an expert opinion on this Clearwire(maybe) site. It is in Osseo, MN and about 1.5 weeks ago I spotted some workers up on what I believe is the Clearwire rack. Can any of you experts help identify if these are the new Dual Mode rru's? I apologize for the lack of detail in the pictures, my camcorder has an amazing zoom but doesn't take greatly detailed pictures. I hope this works, I have never uploaded pictures before.
  6. This morning I was at the Chanhassen Bus Stop / Park and Ride at 101 and 212 for a few minutes waiting on my carpool and I dropped my wife's phone calls 3 times within a few minutes, and I didn't even move the whole time. I believe that the problem comes from the fact that there is a single site inside Chanhassen that is 3g/voice accepted which uses Network I.D. (NID) 242 and the whole rest of the area is legacy and uses NID002 and therefore everytime your phone switches from the new site to the legacy sites it is a hard hand-off and those hand-offs almost always dropping right now. I believe that the only reprieve is going to be when the get the rest of the surrounding sites 3g accepted.. I know that my phone calls rarely ever survive when my phone switches from NID002 (Legacy) to NID242 (Samsung) or back. It is getting very frustrating, because the first 20 minutes of my commute is littered with both NID's and I cannot hold a call for more than a few minutes while traveling through this area.
  7. Thanks, Now I just have to figure how to load the PRL. The instructions in the first post do not appear to work for my phone.
  8. Hello I have a question about my Epic 4G Touch and its ability to connect to an 800Mhz site on the current stock PRL. The PRL number is 21096. This weekend I will be traveling down to my In-Laws house which is in an area in Minnesota that is about 10 miles away from a 3g/800mhz accepted tower. And I would like to verify that it is broadcasting 800Mhz. I was down there last weekend and through the signal check pro app I was able to verify that I was sometimes connecting to this tower, but I didn't check to see if it was via PCS or SMR that I was connecting. This area is in rural Minnesota south of New Ulm, the town (if you could call it a town) is Searles and is roughly spaced 6-10 miles from all of the nearest sprint towers, so when I am down there I go between Roam (Verizon via the old Midwest Wireless network) and very faint Sprint signal. When I am on sprint down there my text messages will usually fail to send until I start to roam. So it seems like 800Mhz will definetly help this area of the state. I know that there is a possibility that even though this tower is marked as 800Mhz complete that it may not be broadcasting or accepting connections, but I would at least like to know that it is possible with my phone on the current PRL. If this PRL won't allow me to connect does anyone know of one I can load onto my phone (stock rooted/deodexed) that would allow me to connect? Thanks
