  1. I'll be there next week and let you know how the speeds are in and around the strip. I'll be at Bally's and M Resort. Last I was there, I think signal wasn't as great near there but I'll see. Maybe there will be a sudden rush to upgrade over the weekend. lol
  2. The thing is... everywhere but Queens, S.I. and Lower Manhattan is getting less spotty. Living example right here as I live and work and visit places where LTE doesn't exist. But it will be better in a year.
  3. I don't blame you. When NV is finished and done, that's when anyone should decide to come back. The upgrades are killing me. Having spotty and poor coverage due to upgrades are normal these days and you would be lucky to be in the parts of the city where there is LTE. Sensorly is accurate up to a certain point. There are spots that had LTE and was mapped but are no longer getting that signal due to adjustments.
  4. Yes!!! Queens and financial district in Manhattan.
  5. I would wait until November and see what you want to do. By that time, NV in NYC should be more than half way done. If that's the case, I would stick with Sprint. If your contract was up now or next month, I would have told you to go to t-mobile and come back after NV finishes in 1-2 years. So much dropped calls and data issues while towers are being rebuilt and for someone who needs reliable service, it's a pain. But since you are still on a contract until November, why worry about it now? Either way, I would wait to see what the next iPhone would be and then decide if service in your area has gotten better and if so, upgrade. If not, then leave and come back later when NV is 100% done. I have high hopes for NV and Sprint getting better. It's just the pain of going through the upgrades that is killing me.
  6. I'm not sure if anyone asked... but will CDMA ever get turned off? With almost all towers going LTE and voLTE and TD-LTE, it seems like CDMA won't be needed in the future. And once CDMA can be turned off, wouldn't Sprint be able to use those spectrum to provide better service as well?
  7. that's a bummer... too bad we the subscribers have no say in this.
  8. Would this takeover be a material change to our agreement to cancel service? Don't want no Dish takeover...
  9. no... I just see the signal strength change multiple times from -67 to -106 to having 3G to not having 3G and so on. It's my assumption I guess. Since this area has so many towers.
  10. Anyone else have problems being connected to one signal on their phones? mine being on the same spot connects to different cell sites and it's draining my battery. Any solution?
  11. Anyone notice anymore new LTE sites? I don't think I've heard about any in the last two weeks.
  12. I'm the exact opposite. Everywhere I go I have poor 3G. Hahaha Everywhere surrounding me, there is LTE. I am still excited to see LTE on my phone. That is when I happen to pass through those area's that have LTE.
  13. iPhone 5!!! I lose 3G all the time because of NV. Recently I've been losing 3G more often.
  14. Still waiting for LTE at my house and downtown Manhattan. Heck... Waiting for NV towers for 3G since Sandy. Hahahaha...
  15. How are the 3G speeds in LV around the strip now? I am in town end of this month and hope to see good 3G speeds. Thanks.
  16. All the switching from 3G to 2G to LTE is killing my battery... Anyone have any suggestion to saving battery while we wait for NV to stabilize?
  17. Conflict of interest huh? There should be laws banning anti-competitiveness!!!
  18. Now that is my issue too. Why does backhaul takes so long? It's like these companies don't want to make any money. They take forever to come and hook backhaul.
  19. I can't seem to understand why Lucent isn't turning on LTE first and then working on the 3G clusters like Samsung and Ericsson. It would make sense for those with LTE devices to move to LTE so 3G would be less crowded and have better overall experience. 3G is totally unusable in lower Manhattan since Sandy. On a better note, more 3G enabled sites have been coming online in NYC each week. And now with the weather getting warmer, more sites should be coming on as we move along. Just wish Lucent turns on LTE first like the others. And SI now have some purple area. Finally the LTE there has been turned up.
