  1. Nope. Pre NV speeds since they work in clusters. If you look at the map, you will see that only one tower has been 3G complete way downtown. That's where I am.
  2. Queens is where I live and downtown Manhattan is where I work so T-mobile is so much better compared to Sprint since Queens is lagging. No toggling will get me any LTE signals. Like I said, I am feeling left out.
  3. I feel so left out in all of this LTE talk. lol Still no place where I go has LTE. Now, Looking at Sensorly, T-mobile seems to be almost done with LTE in NYC.
  4. Man, I wish there was a schedule available that shows when the towers are scheduled to go through upgrades. Finally a tower few blocks from my house is 3G/4G accepted but it's only facing the opposite side of my house... so close but so little use...
  5. So On July 1... All Nextel phones will cease to have any cell connections?
  6. Looking forward to LTE when I'm back there in July. Hope more sites go live around the strip. Early May was definitely a disappointment as I wasn't able to use any data anywhere. well not meaningfully.
  7. Unless you find the financial savings to be worth it for subpar data and voice right now, I wouldn't do it. Expect end of summer or late 2013 to be a good time to move. You can even ask at that time if it's a good time as well cause you never know what might happen. If I knew what I know now last Oct, I would have not made the move to Sprint until next year. It's too late for me but not for you.
  8. Mid next year is when I would switch. Or if you hear unlimited data is going away.
  9. How come people are saying Chicago market deployment is a disaster? Aren't you guys almost complete?
  10. This morning, I had a LTE signal at work for 15 seconds in the financial district. I hope that means someone was testing the signal and hope to get some LTE here at work. been living with poor data ever since Sandy. The signal strength was -118 which means it's a bit far away but it's giving me hope. Anyone else in the area noticed it?
  11. Does anyone know which cell sites are part of which cluster?
  12. 2-3 mbps is plenty for me when streaming videos. The problem is that it's hard to find a place where I visit that give that kind of speed. lol
  13. So after being in Vegas all last week, about 95% of the time in the casino's on the strip, Sprint 3G is useless. You can't even browse the internet. I've been to three different hotel's and Sprint is useless in Bally's, M Resort (guest rooms area) and Renaissance Hotel. I was able to get some decent browsing at the Cosmopolitan and Tropicana but other places like Caesar's Palace and Venetian and most of the middle parts of the strip, useless. It was very disappointing. Hopefully by the time I visit again in July, it will be better.
  14. No... but if you want to use 800 mhz and the phone you have doesn't support the frequency, then you won't be able to make use of it. but you will still have service.
  15. The reason I ask is because today I have seen low pings (low 100's) for lower Manhattan in the financial district. Yesterday, it was in the 400's. The speeds however are still in the 0.07-0.20 mbps dl. Now that you say Backhaul is in place, that means they must be waiting for the whole cluster to accept the sites for 3G.
  16. Does low ping numbers always mean upgraded towers but no backhaul to support faster speeds?
  17. There's a map on the sponsor section that shows sites that won't get NV at all. All NV sites will get LTE.
  18. We are here to have fun. Not just be cell nerds all the time. haha... I enjoy it.
  19. I guess the northwest isn't a popular place to live huh? I can't wait to be there next week. Hoping to be surprised with fast speeds.
  20. Anyone had a chance to check out that LTE tower in the north? Still not seeing it on Sensorly and was wondering.
  21. A lot of sites in Manhattan, Queens and S.I. still has yet to see any kind of NV towers. Even in fairly well covered areas as Bronx and Brooklyn isn't close to being done. I think half is about right. LTE probably is about 25% done. On a side note, I think we can lose our patients a bit when we pay 100 bucks a month for terrible service while NV is going on. Once it's done, I know and everyone knows it will be great. But that good feeling wears off a bit once in a while when you can't call because it gets dropped, you can't check your loved ones on facebook because there is no 3G around due to tower outage and so on. Have patients for those who complain because I'm sure they also have been patient for a long time. I sure have been patient since Nov but not having reliable coverage in the financial district since Sandy, I started to lose it a bit. Anyhow, please have some compassion for those less fortunate who don't have LTE or upgraded 3G yet. I know it's coming but it's been a long wait and we are a bit jealous of you all who have it in majority of the place you visit.
