I constantly get a network errors with my wifi calling even though my Internet is working fine for anything else. Seems really random.

I think many of us G3 owners are also skipping this upgrade cycle because it's not enough of an upgrade to justify paying out of pocket. I'm don't have an upgrade available until next year.

Been here all week. Service seems good for the most part. Biggest problem is I still drop to 3G when driving around town at times. Happened on i5 right by mission bay.

If sprint pulls the unlimited plan it will be a huge bait and switch on their part. They promoted unlimited when the network sucked and it would be a miracle if you could use more than 5Gb a month given the network performance. Still a lot of us stuck with them because of the unlimited data and promise of a better network in the future . If the get rid of it after finally making their network usable, it seems unfair to people like myself who stuck by then through all of the 'pardon our dust' phases.

Do wifi calls typically sound better or worse than standard cell calls (non-hd)?
-
I wish Sprint would drop the e911 requirements. T-mobile does wifi calling and you don't have to constantly be entering your location to use it. Also any idea why wifi calling does not work in airplane mode with wifi enabled?

Changed it to read LTE 1900. That's a little better but I'd still prefer the standard LTE band to just say LTE so I know at a glance I'm getting something different on b26/b41. My eyes can't tell the difference between b25 and b26 unless I get close to phone. I still vote for the old behavior where b25 displayed LTE.

Any way to get the old behavior back where band 25 displayed LTE instead of LTE 25?

Sprint Home Wifi Router [Wi-Fi Connect][Asus AC66u]
coorsleftfield replied to marioc21's topic in General Topics
It's a nice upgrade. I had a really old linksys router that was showing its age. Been tempted to buy a new AC router for a long time but didn't see it as enough of an upgrade to justify it. The free offer from Sprint was great. I'm a happy customer. I see no reason to mess with the fw, it's working just fine. -

I got mine ordered after being bounced between 4 reps. When someone comes up with the best way to order it would be great if the OP can update the first post so people don't have to dig through the thread to figure it out -

What's the best way to order this because the csr I talked to had no clue about this router. -
How much of DC downtown is complete at this point? I've been here a week and the sprint experience has been average. I'm still seeing a lot of 3G on my phone around the area and about half of that time there is no data available on 3G

Network Vision/LTE - Phoenix Market (including Flagstaff, Prescott)
coorsleftfield replied to MaxPower's topic in Markets
Sorry if I'm getting terms mixed, what I mean is when I see signal check pro telling me I'm connected on CDMA 800, I get very slow data speeds. Can the phone not use 800 for voice and 1900 for data at the same time? -

Anyone know why 3G data on 1x800 is so slow around here? -

Welcome back to Phoenix. For me the network seems to vastly improve in just the past few months. While the LTE speeds are not great, they are fast enough to do what I need and coverage is pretty good around phoenix now. B41 sites are rapidly being turned up, I pick it up at over town now. -
5.0 is working great for me. Seems to be an improvement in every way

Just flash the rooted image. I don't know that you will see a way to hack root under 5.0 , it's a lot more secure. You will probably have to flash kitkat, root and twrp that, then flash the 5.0.1 rooted image .
-
One subtle Lollipop improvement, songs played with Spotify now correctly display on my car Bluetooth stereo. That never worked under 4.4.
-
Also after flashing the rooted image, I couldn't get mobile data until I did the keypad reprovision /reset code
-
That is the image I flashed, modems came along with it fine. I was already rooted and running twrp so this was the only way to upgrade short of flashing stock 4.4 and waiting on OTA. This image let me keep root as well. I don't know that there is a way to root the factory lollipop image after its on your phone.

I got about 9 hours of battery life yesterday with maybe 3 hours SOT. I'm running the rooted image that was posted.
