  1. whenever I see these kind of videos, i feel like i made a bad decision sticking with sprint. good job t mobile. they have strong HSPA+ in NYC and it seems like they are working hard on their LTE.
  2. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2013-03-25/softbank-to-spend-as-much-as-25-billion-yen-on-gungho-stake.html they are looking for different business venture?
  3. if tmobile deploys LTE fast enough with good coverage, they will be the best carrier here in NYC. they have good alternative with HSPA+ with easily topping 10mbps and their LTE seems to be 10 X 10 in NYC when time comes. Sprint will be more favorable when 800mhz and 2500mhz actually hits the market with good coverage, but until then, t mobile sounds like a really good deal.
  4. http://www.zacks.com/stock/news/95465/metropcs-crosses-final-barrier 20 ×20 lte from tmobile/metro pcs merger from this article. Anything sprint will offer to counter?
  5. http://www.phonearena.com/news/T-Mobile-LTE-service-working-in-9-markets-pre-launch_id41138 TMobile is going 10×10 after metro pcs merger goes through. What do you guys think
  6. i am not sure what sprint did but signals in Flushing got very strong.
  7. Tower is back on on Roosevelt and sanford ave. Surprise to find out that galaxy s3 gets better reception than galaxy note 2. Note 2 gets around -105dbm and s3 gets -99dbm.
  8. this is a population density map of NYC. http://www.nyc.gov/html/dcp/pdf/census/mappl1.pdf i see some similarity between when and where the LTE is being deployed first with high population density.
  9. more "2 data upgrade" in flushing. will go and check out later after work. https://network.sprint.com/search/11354/
  10. By looking at the Sensorly, the tower that has lte must be facing north east since it has good solid purple on the northeast side than the other? Too bad my condo is on the other side of the town
  11. i got -98dbm to -99 dbm indoor in my condo in LIC. but the signal was going from 4g to 3g constantly. i thought they were working on something there. The signal was not weak enough to drop.
  12. http://www.phonearena.com/news/T-Mobile-sends-out-LTE-update-to-the-Samsung-GALAXY-Note-II-as-its-new-service-is-set-to-launch-this-month_id40980 t-mobile launching LTE. they have seen about 60mbps download max and 30mbps upload. they said 100 million people are able to use LTE by mid 2013.... are they deploying 10x10? sprint LTE seems to be on the lower hand. Sprint really has to step it up. the deployment seems to be very very slow.
  13. I will do intense sensorly mapping tomorrow at lic when I get near my apartment
  14. Has anyone used metropcs lte phone? How is their lte coverage and speed in nyc?
  15. https://network.sprint.com/ not everyone agrees with "2 data speed upgrade" = LTE ready, but it seems very reliable source when you match it up with sensorly.
  16. 2 data upgrade at long island city, a block away from where I have a condo. awesome. will find out if LTE is turned on this weekend.
  17. Will gs4 capable using 800mhz lte? If it is, I am switching.
  18. 2 data speed upgrades seems to be very very reliable.
  19. little neck has pretty good reception at where i work but last week was atrocious. no reception at all indoor and 3g was non-existing. it got better yesterday with very solid 3g speed, but no 4g yet.
  20. saw this truck at the same building this morning going to work. has anyone heard of cobra communication??
  21. Absolutely horrible 3g speed in corona and elmhurst. This might be a good sign!
  22. In flushing, the lte towers are on and off. They are testing. I am still very surprised that queens and manhattan has so little action compared to brooklyn and bronx. Hope it picks up.
  23. Definitely. Astoria and Elmhurst is a very populated area and they must work faster there. I know that people live in queens generally favor verizon due to better coverage and I completely agree with them. Sprint/at&t/tmobile have work cut out for them in queens.
