  1. There is not one person in this busy thread that can get a triband hotspot and do some coverage and speed tests of clears 2.5ghz frequencies?
  2. I think I need to get a zing hotspot my self and make a trip to Tampa since I don't see anyone else up for the challenge
  3. I don't have LTE at my house its at the edge of LTE and of course having the evo LTE and its terrible LTE reception its not gonna pick it up unless its a usable signal. I have cox internet at my house 37 down and 15 up. The problem is to cut costs at my home we don't have cable only internet and apparently there is a 300gb limit that we go over every month and they are threatening to cut us off if it continues. There are 3 of us that live there and my son. I can't control what goes on after I leave for work at the house so LTE would be nice to have since I don't use much data at the house and that would be one less person taking up bandwidth on cox The most crazy part of this story is that you can't get cable or dsl, but, you have LTE. I have had cable Internet since 1998, and can't get LTE. Go figure right? Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
  4. No I mean LTE. My phone did not use that much 3G and I had LTE off yet somehow I used 600kbps in one day. quote name="scubajwd" post="184883" timestamp="1376166330"] Your phone downloaded data via 3G most likely...600 K (if that's what you meant) is less than one (1) MB of data so it could be an app update or two on your smartphone..
  5. So I turned off LTE because my home is on the edge of it and it was destroying battery life so I turned it off on the 6th and my data starts over on the 8th. I check everyday to make sure its still off so I look at my usage on the 9th and it says I used almost 600kbps in one day when I never connected to 4g in the first place. I called a rep and he said it says the same on his end. So my question is how could my phone still be able to use LTE data when the LTE radio is turned off?
  6. The executives know but I firmly believe that the employees have no clue how bad sprints network has fallen. Although its getting better at a rapid pace its apparently not fast enough for most people. I'm getting a nexus 7 LTE when it comes out to put a end to my complaining of there network because then I will have access all big 4 LTE networks. So if sprint sucks then I use on the the other 3 for my data needs until sprint is finished with my market. Its gonna be awesome have all the LTE networks.
  7. even though im on 3G alot more than lte I struggle to use one 1gb of data on 3g every month and never use 2 gbs. On 4G LTE even though I'm not on it often I use 3-6 gbs of data a month. One thing I noticed at least on the EVO LTE is 4G LTE doesn't seem to have a idle mode like 3G does so that may be why.
  8. Oh yes you will. The faster the speeds you get the more bytes you will use
  9. So if a tower goes live and your coverage seems limited and then a week or two later its range is a lot greater what does that mean? Did they correct the downtilt or add a new panel or is a new tower doing it?
  10. Im not saying MVNOs aren't good but couldn't they wait until after the rollout to add more. Makes more sense to me. Also Sprint leaves little exclusives for the people in contract almost like they want more people to switch to no contract. If that's the case they should just do what tmobile did and dismiss them
  11. This sounds like a good deal but I do want to know why sprint is basically whoring out its LTE network to all of these MVNO companys so fast. Every other company only has a few while sprint has at least 10 of them and I can't help but think there network would be a little less burdened if they stopped doing this or just kept boost, virgin, and ting
  12. When they do speed test study's especially this year Sprint loss a lot of data packets often being on par or slighty better than metro pcs.
  13. I wonder why sprints network seems prone to losing data packets a lot more than the other carriers but seems to have better ping on 3g than even att at times
  14. That store rep did not know what he was talking about. Sprint does not slow data. Its likely that the store is far from the tower or poor building penetration. Could also be to many people on the tower since they are not finished. Most of the workers are to stupid to know about Triband and I doubt it will be finished in a few weeks. Rule #1 never trust a store rep as there only job is to sell a device and collect commission and they will lie to get it.if you have questions I suggest you ask Robert , Aj or anyone on this forum first
  15. We can only speculate but I hate not knowing. A super slow rollout is better than no rollout I guess. Sent from my EVO
  16. I wonder what is the hold up in the Jacksonville market as Sprints LTE rollout in this market has been embarrassingly slow and typically has less than 100 upgrades a month between Jacksonville, Alachua, Gainesville, St Augustine, Ocala ect. There has to be something major going on to affect the rollout this much. Orlando is also going pretty slow.
  17. I walked right into Walmart 2 days before the new nexus 7 was suppose to launch and got one lol
  18. Patience is the hardest part. Not gonna lie I'm out of it waiting 3 years but I'm Damn sure gonna make more lol. 2600 news will make Sprint the almighty network and just renewed my hopes
  19. My area Sprints 1900 mhz voice is actually really good and I only know 2 dead spots where I roam or get no service. Sprints problem to me has always been data. Right now im getting 1.89 down and 0.64 up because its 2:30am but in normal hours its pretty sad. I don't have much of a choice right now but to wait this out since my contract is not up til May 2014 and by then I'm sure there network will be a whole new animal
  20. This is true but the rollout is behind and sprint promised and I quote a "aggressive rollout" and they failed to do that faster than the competition so I can't blame them and I know how hard it is to rollout a new network. I have been promised 4g since the wimax days 3 years ago and a lot do people are still waiting including me
  21. I'm still scratching my head as to why sprint says my city Ocala Fl has LTE and its has major gaps on the sw side of town, where I dont know, the college, bestbuy, the mall, college dorms, Walmart, Starbucks, shopping plaza and even Sprint only corporate store has no LTE to be found because they have not updated 3 of the most crucial towers in the city. They also lied on the coverage map and says that its covered my fair LTE when there is none at all. That's false advertising to the max and I'm genuinely upset that they lauched as a official LTE market and false coverage just because tmobile put them under pressure to get there LTE numbers up. Disappointed to the max
  22. Ocala fl where I live was definitely not ready to be launched. The most important part of the city still has no 4g lte. There only corporate sprint store has virtually no 3g data right in the middle of the city. They haven't gotten to the most important tower in the city yet to the point where I can almost call this false advertising. Side note loving my new nexus 7
