  1. Oh lol, still though there could be more than 1 nexus phone, and also Samsung's Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 didn't have a Tegra chip in it so there is still a possibility that processor that is in the AOSP could be for a tablet and that the tegra rumor might be false as it came from a random Chinese website I haven't even heard of. EDIT: Also your source with the processor said this
  2. Well according to rumours about multiple devices and the 10 inch Screens Google ordered, it wouldn't surprise me if Samsung was making the 10 inch Nexus Tablet as they have a dominate lead in the true android tablet market ( not including kindle fire ) with their Galaxy Tab. Reason behind why I think Samsung is the maker of the 10 inch is because LG and HTC have said they don't want to make tablets, and all the rest of the tablet manufacturer are well... Low tier. Google Orders 10 inch screens: http://www.androidauthority.com/google-nexus-10-inch-android-tablet-99291/ If you are really worried about Software upgrades then you should get a Nexus, and in my honest opinion I think we are at a point now that we are slowing down on progress with hardware and now trying to match it up with good software capable of using it to it's fullest capacity. My point being proven by Jelly Bean being super smooth due to Project Butter. Video of G Nex with ICS and with Jelly Bean
  3. Well according to that other rumor where there could be multiple manufacturers for multiple nexus devices, this means HTC is highly possible considering that they also followed Google's layout of the buttons ( unlike Samsung in the GS3 ). So I think I'll trust my friend in this one. I also agree with your statement with the G Nexus and LTE, as the G Nex was Sprint's first LTE device so that guess is highly probable. In the end though it is all up to Sprint and if they want the device, as they might want to just show off the iPhone 5 to fulfill their contract with Apple for the fall/winter season.
  4. What they need to do to get the Nexus Q more popular is get more applications to be able to stream over it, so far it's just Youtube, Google Movies/TV, and Google Music. In my opinion that isn't enough and could be so much greater. Also there is rumors that this could be the central hub for GooglePlay@Home/Android@Home, so that could make the price tag of 300$ seem a little more acceptable.
  5. Sprint is usually cheaper against Verizon, so that's a plus for him, and Windows 8 isn't out til Fall so that matches the Network Vision plans. The real issue is signal, make him check out the areas he goes on the coverage map on sprint to see if he will get at least some coverage in some of those areas or you could also come along with him to those areas and check what it really is. That's my opinion, hope it helps!
  6. My friend, who has a buddy who works at Google, told me they are making the next nexus which will be by HTC and will be wicked with all new sorts of technology. It'll be out in October/November so you could wait for that, but if you want you could always root your Galaxy S3 and considering that all of US variants of the S3 are very similar, the devs can easily work together for fast updates.
  7. I got them from this app. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kov.theme.ics
