  1. Just playing devil's advocate here ...but if you guys don't need it any longer (and it seems a lot of you no longer do).....then why do you care? If a network isn't shi@#y enough to require the help then why go out of one's way to accommodate said unnecessary help? It begs the question. I, for one, am overjoyed that I now have no use for it (nor have I - to be fair - for quite some time tbh). Good riddance.
  2. Incorrect. There are myriad factors that go into any singular speed test. You've got to keep that in mind. Myriad. But, more to the point: Sprint no longer exists.
  3. Sprint, at least here in my apartment in an extremely isolated, unscientific and quite possibly non representative and exceedingly tiny sample, is marginally faster. So it's meaningless to ask without an exponentially larger sample. The takeaway is that they're messing with the sites and PRLs. Not that any particular band is temporarily faster. Remember, we're all TMobile now.
  4. Suddenly I cannot at all make my phone to connect to any Sprint bands. Even after multiple reboots and disengaging and then re-engaging all Sprint bands. Really weird. My phone shows all Sprint bands enabled. But will ONLY connect to TMobile. Been that way 12 hours now.
  5. Why did that last part actually make me a bit sad? Like saying goodbye to an old friend who was always there but maybe you'd simply outgrown. Lol
  6. I agree with you. Was not ready for prime time. They held out for so long likely for this very reason and only just released it last winter on the eve of their merger with a seemingly much more technically savvy entity. I can't wait to see what magenta brings to the table.
  7. Lucky you. But I have faith in TMobile making that experience ubiquitous across the board.
  8. Are you more speaking to Louisville or Seattle? I'm from Lexington and am there fairly often but I have only paid attention to VoLTE quality here in Atlanta. Also, which phone are you using?
  9. For me it seemed to be the opposite, as counterintuitive as that may be. Even here very much in the city where I live 1x was great for calls. This was most pronounced in massive concrete parking decks or inside a big box store or elevator shaft. No LTE but could still usually make a call on 1x. Was just generally far more reliable inside of structures and in urban environments, at least in my experience here in Atlanta.
  10. Out of curiosity did anyone have a respectable experience with voice over LTE on Sprint? I never had a reason to use my data while on a call but when I had VoLTE toggled on, I'd always have garbled calls inside of stores where a band 25 or even 41 signal was available, nevermind band 26 (which always resulted in unusable data and calls that were completely unintelligible). It was frustrating so I normally turned it off but was trying to give it a chance as others seemed so happy with something that I had little use for and barely worked in practice. This with a Galaxy Note 10 plus.
  11. Yeah this was one metro where Sprint got it right. Band 26 was always garbage but we had decent band 25 service and excellent band 41 coverage.
  12. Very interesting, indeed. Thanks for all the awesome work that you do. Hopefully this information is helpful to you!
  13. I can't believe I never tried that before. But the answer would be no, it's not showing properly as it shows 3, 20MHz wide channels. That shouldn't be possible given the band configuration, right?
  14. Hmm. I don't know how to tell. I ran the test again and it took a few times to replicate the same carrier aggregation combo but I was able to do it and scp showed the attached.
  15. Great speeds on T-Mobile tonight in Atlanta. I forced my Note 10 plus off of Sprint bands and onto TMobile. This is carrier aggregation of band 66 with bands 2 and 12. Pretty cool stuff. Love the upload speed, too. I personally never got more than 3 up on Sprint.
  16. Our phones very rarely connected well to our magic box when I lived with my ex in the old place though when they did our service went from "meh" to very good. Where I live now I get great service with Sprint on band 41 even deep inside my apartment. Never less than 100 down. But I've lived here a year and haven't once felt the need to even plug in the magic box. He took the dog and I got this silly MB that I've never even felt the need to use in my new spot? At least my dating apps load lickety split here on band 41! 😂
  17. Guys!!! Cap totally gone on T-Mobile!!! Look at this. Just killed all Sprint bands for shits and giggles and Damn!
  18. I sure hope when they start using 2.5 for TMO 5G, it doesn't stop working on my V50. So I've been wondering this and I should know the answer but I don't. The question is: do all of us with 4G LTE phones lose band 41 for 4G? I'm thinking that I read they can dual broadcast 4G and 5G over band 41 using the latest equipment but I'm not certain. Any explanation would help. Thanks, guys.
  19. I just killed all Sprint bands on my note 10 plus and immediately latched onto band 66 upon restart. Although the speed test initially spiked to around 11 Mbps it did quickly throttle back to about 5 Mbps.
  20. Same here in Atlanta. Been suddenly dropping down to 3G lately. I hope it's just reconfiguration and is what I assumed. I hope it doesn't go on very long.
  21. So glad the deal closed today. Maybe VoLTE will finally work for me here in Atlanta the way it is supposed to. I still can't use it inside of most buildings even with strong signal. Ridiculous.
