  1. 4xCA is finally citywide, but Sprint keeps are still occasionally a tossup. Rare to find 4xCA them, most do 3xCA finally, but only 41+25 or 41+71. n71 is down to 15 MHz, since the Dish lease is up. With the financial situations going on at Dish, a deal for that 5 MHz block alongside the 800 MHz spectrum doesn't seem too bad. The subway DAS at West 4th has been utter rubbish for T-Mobile since 2017-2018, hasn't ever changed. Even adding B2 to it wasn't helpful. Capacity at all stations need some upgrades, as even Fulton street station DAS in Lower Manhattan with its 50 MHz n41 can slow to crawl, NSA or SA.
  2. I passed through Downtown Brooklyn and mapped those cells for a bit, it didn't confirm/deny what you think. I would guess n25 is from eNB 48352, but I'm not 100% about that. It's the closest thing that matches the cell coverage spread, signal strength and split sector setup. Idk if T-Mobile is still doing work, but some days it's working, and some days it's not. I have been taking LIRR from Jamaica to ENY to check on it once a week and so far it's been a 50/50 chance for it being on.
  3. I'll take a spin by these tmm after work. With n41 showing up on small cells, I figured it may be a matter of time before n25 would too. So about that... it has been confusing for me and I wanted to hold off until more folks spotted it. Seems like a lot of network changes are happening at once, here is what I know: Some towers got the upgrade to 20 MHz n71. Others (most) are still at 15 MHz, but no B71 live. The changes started happening Oct 31st-Nov 1st. Here is a Brooklyn tower and a Bronx/Manhattan tower. Bx/Man was yesterday on the left, Brooklyn was tonight on the right. Queens and some towers in Manhattan are still at 15. In Harlem, I was still getting 15 MHz n71, along with 40+40 n41 (Image below). Before my call started, I checked for B71, and wasn't found, but around 2 hours later, the Bx/Man screenshot above was found, yet the macros right outside LGA were still 15, with no B71, as they still are 2 hours ago. In n41 news, the border between 100+40 and 40+40 in Manhattan shifted lower. Before it was up in the 150-160 Streets, now towers near 145 are doing 40+40 as well instead of the 100+40 they were doing for months. Besides the one mention I made of 4x NR CA some time ago, I haven't seen it since, and for some towers, they don't even do 3x NR CA depending on the primary band. If the secondary n41 carrier is made the PCC, the device drops to 2xCA with only n41 being used. n71 and n25 usually get 3xCA when they are the PCC.
  4. I assume a digit is off for this one, as this site is in Maryland. There is a site within the Bay View Houses complex that can do gig+, but NR isn't properly mapped there, so I don't know which site it is. Also added 49176 to the gig+ map. Edit: Here are the latest totals for the map:
  5. The FCC docs said the leasing should start on October 10th, Florida seems to have Comcast's spectrum live but I haven't seen it in NYC yet. ---- I have added most of the gig+ sites mentioned, and I have added quite a few in Harlem. The keep sites have been updated as well, to add on Sprint eNB 6300 has been converted, but isn't live, I'll update that one soon. For some subway stations, they can anchor NR from the macros now. Before it would support it but not actually anchor NR. Besides Fulton Street station complex in Manhattan, the L train tunnel, and the LIRR under Atlantic, I haven't seen NR anywhere else underground yet.
  6. I have no idea what they are either, but if its DAS, it also has n41 active on it, as a few of the n41 gNBs on the bridge have unique cell numbers. Strange I didn't pick up any on Wednesday, so it might have been a temporary thing. I have excellent news about this. The tunnel has LTE and NR (NSA and SA) active. It's also the first place where I have seen n71 on a DAS. I haven't fully figured what is where yet, however eNBs 435763/4/5/6/7/8 all seem to be LIRR DAS related. Jamaica station has antennas on the platform, B2/12/66 was exceptionally great inside the train at Jamaica with pretty good SNR too, and I also spotted a Samsung mmWave panel above Track 13-14. I haven't been able to tell if n41 is on the DAS at Jamaica yet. In the tunnel, n71 and n41 are both live, matching the bandwidths current macros do. I'll do a few more trips to/from work there, as I think from East New York to the portal near Jamaica they have 2 different cells being used per band, with the split being near the former Woodhaven LIRR Station. ---- T-Mobile is expanding the gig+ activities, eNBs 41304 and 47754 have been added to the map. I would add eNBs 41956 and 45654 but I wasn't able to go above 900 with either.
  7. T-Mobile upgraded this site with a 6419. I was passing by this site today and there is 3 panels up there now.
  8. Sprint eNB 15941 has finally been turned on, it's T-Mobile eNB 347833. It has the 6419, and it is also a gig+ site. Also in this neighborhood, I didn't thoroughly test it, but I am guessing eNB 888835 which is 3 small cells (2 found, 1 not) are broadcasting n41. gNB 1324391 looks to be its match. Another gig+ site has been added as well, eNB 55976.
  9. If T-Mobile is live in the tunnels, its either from East New York to Ralph Avenue portal, or Nostrand Avenue to Atlantic Terminal only. Rode the train yesterday and AT&T and Verizon are definitely live in the tunnel from East New York to Jamaica, but not T-Mobile. AT&T's eNB is 119900, Verizon's is 82320. AT&T screenshot info: Verizon's screenshots:
  10. I took the LIRR from Jamaica to East New York Saturday, and there was no T-Mobile LTE in it then, only Verizon, and the eNB was found Friday. It's possible they turned on the Atlantic to Nostrand Avenue section only for now.
  11. Excellent news, I wonder if it was a remote update or someone climbed the pole and added equipment recently. ---- 4xCA is live in Brooklyn, they flipped it on Sunday night/Monday morning. The subway system DAS is seeing more n41 pop up. Fulton Street in Manhattan has it on the A/C platforms, although its only 50 MHz. This was a station that had Sprint B41 live. No speedtest yet, as I spotted it on the train rolling through.
  12. I have updated the map with the latest gig+ and keeps found here. I also found a few more gig+ sites in Boerum Hill/Park Slope and have added them as well. There are 2 or 3 more in Harlem, but I have figured where exactly they are yet. Speaking of small cells, I think T-Mobile has already added n41 to some of the newest ones. I have realized I picked up decent n41 signal in places where there is no macro, only to find service mode saying 100+20 instead of the 100+40 which the macros currently have. Any gNB that has 304-306 for their cell number, or 301-303 but all macros are located already seems to have a polygon that matches the coverage area of the nearby LTE small cell. 301 or 304 matches Cell 1 or 4 for B66; 302 or 305 for Cell 2 or 5; 303 or 306 for Cell 3 or 6. Some small cells have their own gNB, some are shared. I haven't located any yet as I want to find more data across the city confirming it first.
  13. B71 is definitely turned off across NYC, and n71 got widened to 15 MHz. Brooklyn and Queens both don't B71 live anymore, so I would assume its citywide, if not New York City PEA wide.
  14. Took a trip over to Brooklyn Bridge Park to see if Sprint eNB 6706 got converted, but I didn't pick it up, nor any new T-Mobile eNBs. However, Sprint eNB 5865 is still live waiting to be converted. eNB 53594 has been added to the gig+ map, clocked 1.2 Gbps on it yesterday.
  15. This site, along with T-Mobile eNB 307360, don't have B41 live, but do have n41 live. Seems like the latest T-Mobile convert sites don't broadcast B41 at all.
  16. Sprint eNB 6879 is no longer being kept, the Sprint panels that were there are gone, and no trace of new panels going up.
  17. I passed by eNB 48052 with the hopes of seeing T-Mobile CBRS on the S23+ since the panel is still up, and I locked B48, B2 and B66 to force it to show up, but it didn't. Eventually I'll take a trip to the Bronx to check how the towers with the CBRS panel are doing. eNB 894967 also got the backhaul upgrade, and its gig+ now (picture below). eNB 307360 is also gig+ as well, but it's different in that n41 will CA each other, but it doesn't do n25+n41. I think eNB 216061 is also gig+, but I wasn't sure which tower I was connected to since NR PCIs are very different from LTE PCIs now. Total of 32 sites confirmed with gig+ backhaul. Woah. This was another 311-940 site, and I'm very surprised they kept it with how close eNB 127826 is. But then again, this is the new T-Mobile.
  18. Sprint eNB 5895 has been converted, no idea if it was live or not. I may have picked up the LTE eNB on the S8, if not the S23+ caught the n25 gNB for it. Still waiting for the data to popup on the map, and here is a tower pic of it. I wonder if that was the n258 mmWave site T-Mobile was testing some time ago that was found on Twitter:
  19. Added them all, and modified Sprint eNB 15941 to Converted, site not live yet. It was late when I passed by it so no pics. The typical 3 panel setup T-Mo has with the 6449 flanked by RFS panels is there. Accidentally found Verizon on this building nearby, and it looks like there is unshrouded mmWave. Surprised no CBRS is there. eNB 81618 nearby has C-band on it, no idea about mmWave/CBRS for it because of how the panels are stacked on that roof.
  20. Sprint eNBs 6300, 6269 are still live and broadcasting the keep PLMN. The S23+ doesn't map keep sites under the keep PLMN, they map under OG Sprint. I think 15848, 6178, and 6156 were also picked up, but the csv file doesn't output tower eNBs, so I'm not certain about those. Tomorrow I'll check on 6178.
  21. The DAS at LGA Terminal B actually has n41 at 100+20, but if you are deprioritized, good luck on the busy days, as all the bands are congested, even B41 and n41, with data being worse than 128kbps international roaming. It has SA active for n41 as well. The L train tunnel is actually 80+20 for n41, with SA n41 active. Speeds aren't anything compared to Philadelphia's DAS system that has n41 though. The gig+ upgrades are expanding, as eNBs 894588 (Sprint convert site) and 55987 can both pass 1 Gbps now. Clocked nearly 1.3Gbps on eNB 55987 today.
  22. Took a trip to Philly recently, and there seems to be some gig+ sites popping up across the area, but not within Center City yet. eNB 58201 in Willow Grove is gig+ and 56749, and possibly one near NRG stadium. Also, the DAS for the subway system got upgraded with n41 on it. The stations have n41 signal available, but the tunnels are still LTE only and can CA n41 from the nearby station if it reaches. Nice and easy 500+ down on the DAS with n41. B41 has been cut down to 20+15 within the city, but its 20+20 on the outskirts. n41 is 100+40 with n25 at 10 MHz. There are plenty of keep sites all over to find, and there are still sites that are broadcasting 312-250 that haven't been converted yet.
  23. Sprint eNB 5862, the BQE billboard site, is now live as T-Mobile eNB 216162.
  24. I would guess this is where eNB 6755 was located as well, from the RSRP and Cell numbering of B26 on the 312-250 map, so I will delete the pin for it. -- I know its been found all around the US already, but the keep sites are also broadcasting B41 in NYC as well, the same EARFCN as current T-Mo towers. Found it on Sprint eNB 9043 in Williamsburg yesterday.
  25. Added them all! The tower at (40.86216124309271, -73.86241946635127) was already marked on the map as converted, so I would guess the recent permit would be for a modification. C-band/CBRS perhaps? Also, I think the Sprint tower at 40.72582,-73.859004 has been converted to T-Mobile eNB 326104.
