The negative reviews are only in comparison to S8, which is kind of true in that the changes are mostly just under the hood. S9 is like a "S" release for Apple, compared to S8. But comparing to S7, everyone I have read says that it's a worthwhile upgrade. Personally, coming from S8+, I feel that my S9+ is an incremental upgrade - screen is slightly brighter, cameras are better, system is overall faster (time will tell). Battery life is about the same as S8+, so is the overall feel of the phone. Comparing to S7, you will feel a huge difference in both performance, functionality and form factor. I actually use Google Voice for my main number. The Sprint number is just a forwarding number. But it isn't right that even basic voicemail doesn't notify me. Something is probably off with my account with Sprint. Anyway, hope they will call me back one day and get this sorted.

Thank you! It worked perfectly. You are a genius figuring this out! BTW, I had to search for those 3 shortcuts - just click on the ... menu in Shortcut Master Lite, and search for each one of them and set as instructed.

On my unlocked S9+, I haven't been able to get any voicemail notification at all, in Visual Voicemail app, or the tradition notification icon. Has anyone experienced the issue? Solution? I got a ticket open with Sprint, but nobody wants to call me back...
