Hope all is well and that everyone is in good health. Just some updates from upstate/WNY as New T-Mobile has made a lot of progress within the last two months. I’m still seeing 250+ download and 20+ upload speeds from my iPhone 11 Pro Max. However, all of my Speedtest results are run through T-Mobile servers and network in Syracuse, NY. No matter if I take it west in Rochester or east back in Fultonville. I was under the impression Rochester was selected for one of New T-Mobile’s call/support centers so I find it odd that everything is going through Syracuse now. On Sprint before the merger, most Speedtest results would go use a RIT or Frontier server in Rochester. Then post merger it began using different sites that T-Mobile used before shifting it all to Syracuse starting last month. 🤔🤷🏽‍♂️

Go Magenta! I saw Neville tweeted that and was pumped to see New T-Mobile light it up in Amsterdam, NY as I grew up in that area. Definitely was quick to forward it to my family as Sprint always underperformed in that area since we became customers in 2008. Really looking forward to future upgrades in speed and coverage. Earlier today at the school in Gates, NY, I noticed my iPhone 11 Pro Max roaming on T-Mobile as it had full service. I then almost hit 200 Mbps download twice. The 1st Speedtest got me 188 followed by the 191. However, five minutes later it defaulted/fell back on Sprint and could barely get over 2 Mbps. I texted these to the math teacher I work with as he has T-Mobile and follows the merger progress on Reddit. To the best of my knowledge he has a Google Pixel 3 and this was the first time my iPhone had speeds similar to him. Some positive news today is that I had to Venmo my new landlord for an APT between Berkeley and Brunswick streets. The Open Signal maps show that Sprint has little to no spectrum/bandwidth but T-Mobile has swaths of it. Needles to say it saved the day as I was able to search for his account complete the Venmo transaction in the basement of the building with my iPhone 11 Pro Max showing 3-4 bars of service. I keep forgetting you can do that via Apple. Definitely thinking about having my family in the Mohawk Valley/Adirondacks do that if New T-Mobile is unable to make substantial upgrades in that whole region. I brought them over from Straight Talk as their iPhone 5s’ were barely functional and they now have two iPhone 11’s. My iPhone 11 Pro Max works amazing all over the Greater Rochester region/market but definitely struggles back home. T-Mobile and Sprint have nowhere near the scale to compete with the duopoly in the 518. We all have the Unlimited Freedom plan which is priced fairly, just cannot justify having them pay for a service that is not being met/delivered consistently. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Just got this text yesterday from Sprint. However, I noticed while I was driving around the City of Rochester that my Ford Sync in my Fusion Sport was showing “R” for roaming. I only know it means roaming for a fact as it always appears when I lose Sprint and my iPhone utilizes T-Mobile, AT&T, etc. With that said, I wonder if my Ford Sync will continue to recognize New T-Mobile network as roaming or will there be an over the air update that will allow my iPhone 11 Pro Max to officially join the new network? Either way, not complaining as I always have great Sprint service in center city of Rochester and the roaming symbol tells me New T-Mobile is really happening!
