  1. This sounds great on paper, but I wonder how this will work in the real world. To provide a truly ubiquitous VoLTE experience, Sprint would need to deploy these boxes in every neighborhood/suburb/etc. Is that going to be possible?
  2. What else would you call it then? Even if you ignore T-Mobile's rural GMO sites, they've had to rip/replace their entire network (significantly larger footprint than Sprint's native network FYI)
  3. Yeah, I don't agree with that. T-Mobile has completely revamped their entire network (plus expanded coverage) in almost half the time of Network Vision. Verizon and AT&T have also had to rebuild their entire network. They've also been consistently upgrading their equipment for new bands and new LTE-A tech. To say that only Sprint did that, is pretty naive...
  4. Verizon has 10x10 B13, 10x10 B2 (soon to be 15x15), and 20x20 B4 in this market. I would say 95% of people in this area are AT&T and Verizon customers. Both consistently see 75+ mbps in Coolidge Corner these days..
  5. Did some testing at the Sprint store on Harvard Ave in Brookline Sprint panels pointing towards the store HTC Bolt LG G6 Verizon 3xCA inside the Sprint store
  6. Why only B41 VoLTE? It should work seamlessly across all available LTE layers. In the areas I frequent, AT&T has VoLTE on 5 different bands (2/4/5/17/30). Verizon has 4 (2/4/5/13) and TMobile has 3 (2/4/12.)
  7. Because VZW and TMobile had significantly higher speeds anyways... Obviously the improvement will be less. That being said, TMobile fails to tell us that they zero-rate speedtest data, unlike the other three carriers. They are essentially manipulating the data. Verizon, Sprint, and AT&T don't do this. 8. Drive over to Foxwoods or Moheagan Sun also. Sprint signal is pretty awful once you get into rural CT. Or drive down Rt 9 towards Boston. Sprint LTE is spread pretty thin once you're in the burbs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Their sleazy marketing tactics Legere is the world's best used car salesman. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Yeah, I don't believe that. Drive up and down the Merritt. When you're stuck between two LTE sites, your Sprint device will be on weak 1x or no service. This happens pretty often. Come up to Boston. We have plenty of Sprint dead-zones.
  11. Sounds like Sprint tooting the B41 horn for the last 4-5 years... I don't like TMobile's management, but they do deploy quickly. Way faster than Sprint has ever done.
  12. TMo wants to deploy some EoY? That's not up to them, it's up to the broadcasters.
  13. Sprint is pretty underwhelming in and around Brookline and those hospitals. AT&T/Verizon are on the DAS networks of most of those major hospitals.
  14. The coverage on the Merritt is notoriously weak, especially once you get into Fairfield County. It's even worse as you go into the various small towns. Sprint's coverage starts to thin out considerably. New Caanan, Greenwich, Westport, etc. The big 2 have no coverage problems in CT. We shouldn't be seeing *any* 3G areas between NYC/Boston in 2017. These roads are some of the most traveled in this area...
  15. There is no I-80 between Boston and NYC. You have three major ways to get to NYC from Boston. 1. I-95 via Providence 2. I-90 (Mass-Pike) to 84 to 91 to 15 (Merrit Parkway) 3. 90 to 84 to 684 to 287 2 is the best way, but Sprint's LTE coverage is lackluster in most parts of CT, especially the Merritt. 16. Incorrect. I have auto-pay enabled with my Chase Sapphire Reserve card. (Verizon account) proof
  17. The ones up and down Newbury are VZW/AT&T. The new DAS nodes all over BU are neutral-host, but are active on Verizon now. Last I checked, the ones right by Harvard/Comm are remnants from MetroPCS, now upgraded to LTE. AT&T and Verizon users have strong signal right by the Harvard/Comm from a cell site near Brainerd/Harvard.
