  1. It's like when you pickup a landline telephone handset in your home. The mic is wired into the speaker and you're hearing your own voice piped back thru the speaker. Try scratching or blowing air on the mic of an old school landline phone and you'll hear it thru the speaker amplified in your ear. This is what I'm talking about. My Galaxy S3 as well as most other Cell phones never used to do this. Why now? What's the purpose? So you can hear your own voice in noisy environments maybe? Doesn't seem truly necessary, more annoying than helpful imo.
  2. Other brands, like LG, that I tested did not have this issue, however.
  3. It's not an echo, but feedback like when you unmute your microphone on your computer and you speak into it and hear it thru your PC speakers. I went to the Sprint store and tried every samsung phone with stock headset and my Bose headset and they all exhibited the same issue.
  4. Apparently, I'm an idiot and all new Samsung phones do this. My question is why? What purpose does this serve?
  5. Yes they are wired and i just now tried the stock headphones and have the same issue! The mic is unmuted and feeding back into the headphones during calls. When i scratch the mic with my thumb or adjust the volume rocker on the headset i hear the amplified scratching and clicking noises in my ears. When i talk directly into the mic, i hear my amplified voice. Can someone please confirm if there phone does this too ? Im gonna go back to sprint and replace it.
  6. I have an issue while using my Bose in-ear headset, during a call my headset mic is feeding back into the headphones and I can hear my own voice, etc. Is this a new feature of the phone or is it not working properly? I haven't even tried the stock headset yet.
  7. Got my MSL. Tried what you suggested here at my work. No difference whatsoever with CA enabled or disabled. Granted, I've only had this phone for about 3 days now and this is the only B41 CA-Enabled tower I've played with, but unfortunately Sprint has always sucked within San Francisco. Hoping for better results in the future with testing more towers.
  8. Wheres my msl number n how do i disable ca?
  9. Yup there it is. I noticed that when my data activity is idle it will go in and out of CA-Add mode and disabled mode. But when I'm on a steady data connection like a Skype call it stays solid enabled.
  10. Thanks, I'll try it later when I'm at work.
  11. Did like you said, and yes it says: CA Enabled Feeling a little better, test is faster this time. Thanks! Also, sidenote: I purchased mine from Sprint Store and got the 1yr Amazon Prime deal. I wasn't aware at the time of the BestBuy $100 giftcard deal though... For those who did get their Note 5 at BestBuy are you eligible for the 1yr free Amazon Prime in addition to to the $100 giftcard? Or is the Amazon Prime deal exclusive to Sprint in-house purchases? BTW, Thanks to whomever posted the $50 rebate/credit deal for signing up for Samsung Pay. I signed up for it anyways, but thanks to you I have a $50 rebate coming (hopefully).
  12. Just got my Note 5. My old phone was a galaxy s3, so I'm new to the newer bands and CA type stuff. A little dismayed because I supposedly have a very good signal on b41(squared) and my speedtests are coming in at around 31/32mb during off peak hours (San Francisco, CA @ current time 3:10am). Why am I not getting like 70mb down? Should I be disappointed?
  13. Please someone help me! I already preordered my Note 4 on Sprint and dropped $350 on this thing... And I come to find out I can't even talk and data on it like i do EVERYDAY with my S3. This is a deal breaker for me... When will Sprint "turn on" voice+data for Spark devices? and is this true?
  14. Sprint 4G LTE has gone live in San Francisco as well as the East Bay and possibly the entire Bay Area within the last 48 hours... I had just driven on to Treasure Island (SF, where I live) and noticed the little 4G icon lighting up. Ran a speed test (from the tower in West Oakland near I-80 East on-ramp of the Bay Bridge) and got this: Also, I noticed another user on the XDA DEV forums also got 4G signal while driving on the 101 near Candlestick Park in SF: WOOOO THATS FAST BABY
