  1. Is this speculation or do you have a source? I would expect the same with the level of activity we have seen compared to other markets as well.
  2. It was certainly worth reporting. Sounds like we have some activity up in Delaware on north side of town for antennas. Keep your eyes peeled - I have a feeling we're getting close. Cleveland has some antenna activity as well. Maybe Sprint really hasn't forgot about Ohio?
  3. Hard to say. I looked at the NV Map and there doesn't appear to be a Sprint tower right at the intersection of 70 @ 256. Appears to be on north of 70 on 256 (Lancaster Ave) but not right at the intersection.
  4. I'm sure it hasn't been hooked up yet. At least we know that some NV work has begun in Columbus. Next thing for everyone to watch out for is people working on the towers themselves. Keep your eyes to the sky!
  5. Sent in another donation. I figure I have used enough bandwidth hitting refresh on the Columbus forum. Now, send me some LTE!
  6. I was driving on 70E today on west side of town and saw ropes hanging from a tower on the north side of the highway. I was convinced that a Sprint tower was near that location. After driving in a circle for a long time trying to find exactly where the tower was, I got near it and did see tower dogs working on it. Unfortunately it's not a Sprint tower. I am pretty sure it's TMobile or AT&T. Only tower dogs in town should be working on Sprint! Don't tease me like that again.
  7. Don't be afraid of a little trespassing charge.
  8. Curious to see the lead time between permits issued and actual deployment. Some of the Phoenix sites getting deployed now were issued in late November. Columbus started getting issued in early Jan so perhaps we should in the next month or so.
  9. We have at least one confirmed site in progress but nothing complete that we are aware of yet.
  10. They Typically don't remove anything until after upgrades are complete. Snap some pics though and we could look at it?
  11. Yes, one of the first ones. Maybe they have a crew out installing cabinets then more crews will be through to install the guts.
  12. So, I stopped by the tower on Norton Rd again today to snap some pics. Apparently, there IS two new cabinets on the back end and you can clearly see they aren't plugged into anything (look at the second pic). Nothing has been done to the antennas on the pole. I'm no expert - but they do look like the Samsung cabinets. The only marker I could see was the "McLean" on it but I think thats just the AC.. Can anyone confirm?
  13. I know but there's nothing else on the complex but that cabinet and the Clearwire (had their sticker on it) cabinet.
  14. Stopped by this today site today at lunch. Looks like they removed 2 cabinets and replaced it with this single cabinet. I don't have any before pix, but Google Maps clearly shows two before. This site also has Clear on it too (its the cabinets in the back). The tower still looks the same.
  15. Awesome!! I figured that was going to be one of the first ones as was one of the first permits for Columbus pulled. I actually stopped by this tower a few weeks ago. Then I stopped in a really scary gas station by it after. Keep us updated!
  16. I'm not sure we have any information to counter it per se, but it is typical of a lot of markets to upgrade 3G first then turn on LTE. I really have a hard time believing they wouldn't fire up the LTE network however - but that remains to be seen.
  17. Would be news to us on here but certainly interesting.
  18. Yuck! Roads are clean down here - just frickin cold. 10 Degrees right now. But hey, high of 21 today. Spring has sprung.
  19. I hope you aren't stuck in the snow in Erie! I saw it on the news last night - looks nasty up there.
