I haven't noticed this at West Saginaw, Grand Ledge, or Ionia, but I'll be keeping an eye out.

Using Gestures and opening the list of running apps, causes running apps to show in the background of the lock screen or an app running.

Anyone else jump on the DP2 release of Android P this week? Was very surprised to see the expanded device selection that the preview is available for. https://developer.android.com/preview/devices/ OG Pixel / XL Pixel 2 /XL Essential Nokia 7Plus Oppo R15 Pro Xperia XZ2 Vivo X21 / UD Issues I've found on my Pixel 2 XL so far... MS Apps don't work with InTune MDM configured Gestures are flakey Radio Switching between towers/data flow is odd

Official Tmobile-Sprint merger discussion thread
jefbal99 replied to Nextel49's topic in T-Mobile Merger/5G NR Deployment
Rather than a divestment, to ensure the new three carrier system, I'd rather see a requirement of 4G coverage matching the Blue/Red in 36 months and 5G that overlays 4G. -

Grabbed the DP2 Beta of Android P on the Pixel 2 XL and the oddity I've seen thus far is data throughput is strange. This very well could just be a coincidence, but bouncing between cell sites, seems to take forever for data to start flowing.

Sprint & T-Mobile Roaming Agreement
jefbal99 replied to EntrepreneurKid's topic in Network, Network Vision/LTE Deployment
If it was only just a few seconds and didn't hold, then I'm betting its actually SCP picking up Android cycling thru the bands or in the middle of a network change. I see Sprint on Tmobile frequencies all the time in West Michigan, but its only a few seconds during B25/B41 changes or dropping to EVDO. -
Hey Mike, will this new tightening on network monitoring impact SCP? https://www.androidpolice.com/2018/05/07/apps-android-p-will-no-longer-able-monitor-network-activity/ Apps on Android P will no longer be able to monitor your network activity

Sprint & T-Mobile Roaming Agreement
jefbal99 replied to EntrepreneurKid's topic in Network, Network Vision/LTE Deployment
I'm in rural west michigan where Sprint's coverage gets spotty at times. Many times I end up with false SCP logs showing TMobile connections. I have a few areas that I can hopefully latch onto a tmobile signal once roaming is working. I just attempted a PRL update, but still on 55069 -
After my Moto X Pure Edition experience with software updates falling off the map, I think I'll be sticking to Google devices. At least I know what support I'm getting and for how long. My buddy is still using my Moto X Pure, so the hardware is good. Hopefully these can last for a couple cycles.

I've got a new Nexus 6p glass screen protector that I'll gladly mail to anyone who can use it. Just cover the shipping cost. It was a two pack, I only used one of them. Omotion from Amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B014SL8BWU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1&tag=donations09-20 PM me if you'd like this.

I think the fastest I've gotten is right around 70

If Google and Sammy can ever get together on the "Google Play Edition" phones again, I'd buy a Note with AOSP in a heart beat.

I've had the phone for 6hrs and just wow. This thing is fast as hell and so responsive. I haven't played with the camera yet. Very impressed with Google's transferring setup in Oreo. I put a glass screen protector on it and hopefully my Live Case will be here on Tuesday!

Seeing as I just got my Pixel 2 XL today, it'll be a couple years before I upgrade again. By that time, the tech for screen fingerprint reader will be in all the phones.

Apparently the rumors on the note 9 are slim to none

Due to no High Speed Internet Offerings in my area (outside of the major carriers), I jumped on the $50/month unlimited hotspot offering in December. I'm running a Mifi500, connected to a repeater with a single ethernet jack, that feeds the WAN port on my wireless router. This is providing Wifi for my home and connectivity for Nest, 5 Echos, generic smart plugs, 3 Kindle Fire, 1 Kindle reader, and other devices. I do have a Magic Box and the HotSpot loves being connected to it.

Honestly, reach out to Executive Support via twitter. Tweet at Marcelo and they will reply, that's typically the only way to resolve one off or oddball issues like this.

Thanks for this, I was able to help telesales send me the correct SIM for my phone!

My buddy is using my old Moto X Pure right now and he went thru that same hoopla. He went to a third party store and got sold the wrong SIM, ended up at a Corp store to get it working. I remember when the MXPE first came out, the pain to get the correct SIM for that...

Ugh, Sprint is quicker than Google. SIM card will be delivered today, phone isn't scheduled for delivery until Saturday. Feel like a kid on Winter break, waiting for Christmas to come

I dusted off my Novatel Mifi 500 in December and hopped on the $50/month unlimited hotspot data offering. Still don't have any reliable HSI where I live except the major mobile providers, so this has been a revelation. Running all my smart home devices and the kids kindles is great. It does lag occasionally as its Sprint's LTE, but its been a great three months so far. It loves the MagicBox for the most part. I've had to reboot it a few times when it gets stuck on B26 or the device hangs on the main menu. Can't believe I've had this thing 4 1/2 yrs and its still kicking strong.
