I updated Carrier Services this morning too, but no change in icon behavior on my Pixel 6. I discovered that there was a beta track for it just now, so I joined that and got another update soon after, but it didn't change anything.
Glad to hear you are seeing good things.. maybe it was something other than Carrier Services that caused it. Fingers crossed hoping it's something rolling out to everyone!
I've been on the beta for carrier services for quite awhile.
Looks like we are back to inconsistency, lost the signal strength in the last hour or so.

After a Carrier Services update today I'm consistently having signal strength numbers in the status bar

You mean the combo icon started working?? I get random updates maybe once an hour. It's very bizarre. Still playing with things on my end in case there is a way around it.
Yeah, it went away quickly and hasn't worked since then.

Please +1 the following bug report on the Android Issue Tracker (causes the SCP status bar icon to not appear properly on Android 13) to help generate attention and hopefully a prompt fix:

Thank you!
Looks like they are requesting logs, screen recording, apk, etc.

I've always had them enabled, just some of the connections don't seem to show them. Right now I'm seeing them on b71/LTE600, however, earlier they were not there. I think I was connected to b12. Maybe it's just a stale data/reporting issue from the modem to the OS to the app.
So I found the condition with the missing UL and BW, its when I'm connected to 5G-NR2500. I only have a DL frequency and channel, nothing for UL and BW

Yes, that is unfortunately current behavior on Android 13. The other icon styles should work fine -- it appears to be a bug with the layered icon method that specific icon uses.
UL channel and bandwidth should be available by enabling the options under preferences. One nice bonus is I'm now seeing neighbor cells for the first time ever on my P6..

In the app itself, or when using the type+strength status bar icon? As long as the proper permissions are granted, the only major drawback you should see at the moment is that specific icon does not work. It's apparently an Android bug that I'm putting together a bug report for today.
Status bar has the --
When I drag down the status bar for notifications I have the -105 (or whatever the current signal strength is
In the app I have most of the expected data. I'm missing channel bandwidth, UL Channel, and maybe one other field. I can't seem to remember but I feel like something is missing.

Got a Pixel 6 Pro yesterday that is back was back on Android 12, had signal strengths.
Upgraded it to Android 13 and poof, they are gone.

Definitely started happening for me with the Android 13 upgrade.

Does anyone do analysis of the PRLs like digiblur used to?

I'm thinking about making the jump, I've been disappointed with my Pixel 4XL and my son cracked the screen a couple months ago. Going to wait for black friday to see what the deals are at that point.

So after getting caught up on he TMobile/Sprint Network integration, I'm guessing that it is an offshoot of that work. Hopefully things stabilize in the near future.

Has anyone started having issues with their MagicBox in the last few days? any device of mine that is connecting to the MB is terribly slow and very unstable network connections. We turn off the MB and we are somewhat stable on B26/weak B25/41 connections. I did a full factory reset on the MB and the issue still persists.
Has anything changed with the B41 carriers that are being used for the backhaul of these devices?

According to the speed tests I have done on both networks they are about equal in speed at different places inside my condo and at different times. I am afraid the the LTE backhaul might go away if they use that spectrum for 5G.
me too...

How many of you will not need the MB once T-Mobile's network is open for free roaming? I for one will be sending my MB once I can natively roam on T-Mobile. T-Mobile's signal is pretty strong in my condo unlike Sprint.
I get parked on B66 frequently at home, however, its very inconsistent in performance. I much prefer my MB and its performance.

I had to disable VoLTE in west Michigan. When my phone was consistently connecting to the MB in my house, it was great. However, I haven't connected to it in three weeks that I've seen. I wish I could figure out why, other devices connect fine.
The call quality was too choppy on the macro network or roaming on TMobile. Too many calls that had to be hung up and started over to get a flowing data session.

Why couldn't Att or Verizon buy Dish instead of Tmobile?
At&t already owning directv, i couldnt' see that being approved. They'd have to spin dish network (tv) off into a standalone or 3rd party.

Build your own or pick up the HTC 5G hub.

This should get you acquainted with the basics of building. I don't know how far along you are in your quest so I always start at the beginning.
This thread a couple blocks over has some pictures of what other folks and I have put together so far.
THanks, I'll look through and make a decision. The HTC Hub is $600ish from Sprint, haven't done any aftermarket searching. Building my own would allow a direct output from the HotSpot to my home router, rather than having to bounce thru a repeater with coax output.

So my Novatel hotspot has been running my home HSI for the last year plus and been very serviceable. However, it's getting long in the tooth and ready for replacement (needed reboots, stability not consistent).
Any recommendations on a good Sprint hotspot I can buy, off contact to replace my existing device? I don't want a new line of service or contact, just replace the device.
Ideally, I'd like something that supports CA and I can still get with a warranty of some sort.

New oddity since the Feb security patch and a carrier services upgrade, no matter if Wifi is turned on or off, I'm seeing a Wifi 4 connection to an unknown ssid. Airplane mode, etc didn't get rid of it.
Connecting to my home wifi (which turned into Wifi 5) then disconnecting resolved the issue.
Not sure where/why the ghost was coming from
