  1. Not sure if it's still in use but there was B41 used in a few major stations like Grand Central 42nd Street. It was only 40mhz even though Sprint had 60 MHz deployed at the time.
  2. This went live in Astoria yesterday. Just had it pop up in midtown today. Seems like it's work in progress. 5G has been on and off all day on the site that covers my office.
  3. These look like the oDAS sites from metro. Sprint had one of these sites that was still 3G only 3 years ago. Not sure status of it now.
  4. I just transferred at jamaica station and I think there might be a 5G DAS with N41.
  5. Connected to a lot of 5G SA on my way to New Haven CT. Also noticed N41 is 80mhz in New Haven. Hope they expand to 80 soon in NYC
  6. Loving the 60mhz of N41. Never seen triple digit upload before.
  7. i've noticed this too. mmWave speeds are never over 200Mbps, as i walk away from the site an connect to NR41 I almost always get faster speeds. I really wish they used more mmWave spectrum and also put it on every site including outside of manhattan. Would love to see mmWave and NR41 in all the small cell towers in NYC. Had a similar situation near the mall yesterday. I was at Microcenter in Westbury. Couldn't do anything on 5G even send a iMessage. Had to turn off 5G on my iPhone 12 Mini to get anything done and speeds were about 30Mbps. Speed test wouldn't even load on 5G. I have a Mint Mobile sim in my Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G which also would load anything on 5G. I put that phone on 3G only and it was able to load everything. Since the anchor bands are the same I'm wondering if there was just something wrong with that site since LTE alone was working.
  8. I was on LI yesterday and was surprised to see that N71 is still only 5x5 but B71 is now 10x10. Interesting that they went with the opposite deployment they went with in NYC.
  9. Was able to get the fastest 5G speedtest yet on one of the site near me. Turns out the 2 closest site to me received N41 upgrades but from inside I don't connect to either, I connect to the 3rd closest which only has N71. The 2nd screenshot is a N71 speed test, I've gotten faster download but that upload really stood out. Talk about congestion [emoji1787] Sent from my SM-G988U1 using Tapatalk
  10. Also just noticed my phone is now doing 3x CA with B2/66/71 + N71 5G. It would never do more then 2x CA + N71 before and the LTE bands were always B2/66 and sometime B12. Sent from my SM-G988U1 using Tapatalk
  11. Just came to post a screen shot of N71 being 10mhz. Only noticed today in Queens. Didn't notice when I was in Manhattan. Could explain my phone on 1x800 and LTE last night with no VOLTE Sent from my SM-G988U1 using Tapatalk
  12. Walked out side my apartment and connected to T-Mobile B41. Did a airplane mode refresh and connected to N41. Finally all 3 sites surrounding my home has N41. B41 was a single 20mhz channel and was pretty fast 60mbps Sent from my SM-G988U1 using Tapatalk
  13. I rode my bike today from Astoria to Red Hook. Saw a decent amount of NR41 Panels. Installs must be happening daily here. One of the sites I saw had both Sprint and T-Mobile, and the Sprint site was a former 5G site so there were tons of NR 41 Panels
  14. I've started to notice N41 popping up in multiple areas of Astoria. Still nothing on my home site but I'm not even sure where my home site is located anymore since we are using T-Mobile.
  15. Sprint/T-Mobile site with N41 Sent from my SM-G988U1 using Tapatalk
  16. Connect to a N41 Site in Astoria today. On a side note I think N41 deployment is slower here in the city then some other places since there are less collocated site between carriers. On LI a lot of towers have received N41 and they have both Sprint and T-Mobile on item. Just a thought I had.
  17. Hopefully they get more Sprint users in T-Mobile since they are reducing B25 for Sprint to 2 5x5 blocks and I've also notice B41 LTE disappearing in LI. Sent from my SM-G988U1 using Tapatalk
  18. Do we know where this additional 5Mhz of B2 is coming from? Did they get rid of the last of 1900mhz HSPA? Or take spectrum from Sprint? If they are using original T-Mobile spectrum I think that just leaves 5 mhz AWS for HSPA Sent from my SM-G988U1 using Tapatalk
  19. I am not enjoying this t-mobile 5G in Astoria Queens or even LTE for that matter. Here is comparison between the 2 today at Astoria park. This area had even faster speeds before Sprint 5G was shut down. T-Mobile really needs to expand the N41 coverage outside of Manhattan asap. Some how Sprint really delayed it fast. 20. One of the sites wasn't visible at all on the roof. The other site was a standard poll. the Sprint 5G M-MIMO antenna was still on the Sprint rack. On the t-mobile rack it looked like there might have been a M-MIMO antenna from another vendor but I'm not sure. I know the Sprint antenna is Nokia, but the T-Mobile one looked like it could be Ericsson.
  21. Its strange it B71 went from 10x10 to 20x20 and N71 stayed at 5x5. Then N71 went down to 15x15 and B71 went to 10x10. Now B71 is still at 15x15 and N71 is back down to 5x5. Really doesn't make any sense unless the FCC waiver they got to use the spectrum they down own ran out. N71 performance is really bad, They really need to expand N41 since density here in NYC is good enough that you will stay on it most of the time, even indoors.
  22. I noticed today that N71 is down from 10x10mhz to 5x5mhz. I also found 2 cell sites in LI that had N41 from Sprint and have already be switch over to N41 on T-mobile. Probably helps that the sites had both Sprint and T-mobile on them.
  23. I biked around midtown east and Murray Hill today. Noticed a lot more N261 then N41. Also N261 was way slower then when I connected to N41. N41 also wasn't stand alone in the few sites I connected. Here is my fasted speed test with N41. My fasted N261 test was 330Mbps but it also would sometimes only pull ~10Mbps Download and then 50Mbps upload. Sent from my SM-G988U1 using Tapatalk
  24. I finally got the update on my unlocked S20 on Monday. I plan on going into Manhattan on Tuesday find some N261 and N41 will report back if I find anything interesting
  25. It seems like Tmobile has turned off N41 on all the Sprint sites outside of the coverage map they have provided. I believe this because I can no longer connect to N41 when I used the Samsung Band Selector app on my S20. For a week or 2 I could still connect to N41+B41, now my phone will only connect to B41
