  4. @benrimalower it does really depend on your address, Cable is fast but not cheap, it is probably the same as fios.

  5. @thedavidcrosby I know you met Jan in Miami, do you have any relatives in the storm's path in Florida?

  6. I am in North Wildwood, I am a phone geek, and have spoken to all the players here, Radioshack, the third party Sprint store in Cape May Ct. House, the sprint store in Mayslanding, and Sprint executive office. In North Wildwood, and Wildwood, they installed T! lines to the towers to increase call capacity. They will not tell me when we are going to get LTE. They do admit that service in parts of Cape May city stinks, but have nothing in the pipeline to fix it at the moment. The executive office tells me they do look at sensorly, and that they see the same gaps as I do. They say that Cape May is redoing its water tower and Sprint wants to get on it when it is done. I switch between a Blackberry, and a Galaxy Note 2. The service on the Note 2 has been very good, but Im not sure yet if I it is just the fact that service here is always better in the winter because we are a summer resort, or if it is because of Network Vision

  8. Sensorly is great. It is real world data from real world users. This is where the rubber meets the road. Sensorly is a million times better at showing real world coverage then the carrier maps, Ive used it on Verizon and sprint wimax and 2g and it shows real results
  9. Having read all the posts let me give my thoughts. I have an evo 3d, in my are we do not have wimax, but wimax has much better coverage then lte, so I am going to hold on to the 3d, and buy a note when it comes out. I will switch back and forth as needed. I live in a resort area. I have lousy sprint service during the summer, but sprint gave me an airave to help with my service. I have 100mb service from comcast, I use wifi at my house for the phone. I also do not restrict my airave, so anyone in range can use it. it uses very little bandwith, and I can tell by the blinking lights on the unit alot of people are connecting to it. I stay with sprint because I like the certainty of knowing what I will pay every month, and not worry about data use. I have the standard 450 plan, but with all cell calls being free I never come near my minute cap. Let me tell you about a friend of mine. His Dad had a heart attack and he was at the hospital for weeks, he used 1800 minutes on his 450 plan, because many members of the family only had land lines. Sprint saw the high used, they CALLED HIM and told him about an option not many people know about you can buy extra anytime minutes, as long as your billing cycle has not closed for $5.00 per hundred minutes, so instead of .35 cents a minute $21.00 an hour for a total of 310.00 he paid 65.00 a much easier bill to pay. I think the buffet post earlier said it best I like Sprint with unlimited data, I just think you need to be responsible. Not only is offloading much faster for me, I think it is simply the right thing to do. If Sprint doesnt make a profit, we are going to left with two carriers who will only go into profitable areas, and rural people will be relegated to third world infrastructure.
  10. Robert, Thanks for the reply. I spoke to someone in the executive office at sprint about my concerns about generally bad coverage in my town. We are a resort area. The summer population goes up about ten fold. They told me they could not comment on specific unannounced roll outs, but did say the tower in my area was getting a T1 backhaul that will go live in the next week, does the fact that they are putting in a T1 have anything to do with LTE specifically, or do you think this is just to address capacity issues? Thanks
  11. Hi, Long time follower, first time poster. Can anyone give me any information about far South Jersey? I see central, and North Jersey are listed, but Im not sure about where I am. Specifically Wildwood NJ. We never got Wimax, and sometimes we are added into Philadelphia markets, but no one from sprint can update me as to when I should expect service. Because of this, and that Philly and NYC do have Wimax (I have a wimax Evo 3D) I am pushing off fetting a new device, but Verizon now has 4G in my area, but frankly, Sprint has been very good to me over the years and I dont want to leave,
