Installing a new rom and 2 google step verification

Thanks I will do the application specific code thing from now on. Sent from my SPH-L900 -
Oh also if I remember correctly, and there is no guarantee of that, I think on the old rom it said Samsung hidden menu. With the new rom it says system hidden menu. I thought that might be significant. Sent from my SPH-L900

The debug screen worked using Digiblurs rom. The reset data works. The data item in the system shortcuts does not. ##debug# followed by sprint in the dialer still works. If anyone on fully stock MC4 could say if the system short cut works I would be grateful. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk

I have a newbie question. There has got to be a proper way of logging in to Google with new rom install after a factory reset with 2 step verification turned on. I type in my gmail user name and password and it sends the 2 step verification code to the phone as a sms message but I don't see any way to exit the screen and view the code. I finally used some recovery codes I printed out a while back. After I get past this point I can then go see the sms with the code I no longer need. Is that the only way to handle this snafu?

I'm not sure if this could be considered a issue or not, I updated my Note 2 to 4.3 using the rom here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2541395 Now when I go to System Shortcuts/"Debug/Engineering" a pop up saying "Debug/Engineering screens not available on this device. Is that normal? I asked and it is supposed to be stock minus knox. Thanks

Just today at work Jo Ann was saying her S4 sucks now that it got a "LTE" update. Not sure if its related. Her's just crawls now. It was slow before but nothing like this and the signal is fairly strong too. Its the Motherhead site too.

I just found the old EVO 4G (no LTE model) in a drawer after a year and a half on the Note 2 and fired it up for fun. Good god that is a small phone... HA!

I think I remember there is an unlimited my way plan offer expiring soon. I currently have an old 450 minute unlimited data plan that I have been on for a long time with several month left on the contract for the note 2. Is there a compelling reason to sign up before the current offer expires? The cost looks the same but I would get more minutes I won't use.

Around here what doesn't work are the 3g 4g both live sites. You get kicked back to 3g like the others have said when near one of those. I assumed all that got 3g accepted on a site with 4g live site going forward would have it too. There seem to be a lot of 3g accepted sites lately so I thought it would be something that would become more of an issue until the issue was resolved. Either way it's going be fixed soon. Not disagreeing with you but it's only a few because only a few have both CDMA and LTE live on the same site. I'm still hoping most will be both and 800 too soon. Sounds like they may have fixed it anyway if Lilg740 can connect now to one of them so I switching my answer to yup its going to launch soon. Sent from my SPH-L900

I see something called SlimKat based on AOSP Kitkat. I may try that if I can get brave enough. Sent from my SPH-L900

I don't think so. The said they wouldn't announce an area until the fall back issue was fixed there. Sent from my SPH-L900

You asked so here it is. I want them to finish NV. I then want Sprint in the markets where they already have the licenses to add more carriers where needed so we get the 6 Mbps average download speed the say we can expect on non Spark LTE. I know this can't happen over night. I also want them to add the network performance monitoring like Softbank does in Japan where an opt in app reports congestion and slow connections automatically to see where the network needs repairs and upgrades. I must admit the quote I copied from Sprints web site does sound like "trivial, leisure type purposes" is what they promote and what I enjoy doing from time to time when WiFi isn't available.

Hmmm what does Sprint sugest for using your phone? Lets see what they say on their web page. "Anticipating some wait time? Add some up to your down time, whether that means besting your Bejeweled® score, catching the latest feature length movie, or listening to your favorite tunes. Games, music downloads, ringers, calltones, Sprint TV®, streaming radio channels — all available right on your phone, whenever you need a little escape." It shouldn't be a replacement for your home ISP but streaming and downloading stuff is what its meant to be used for. Smart phones where marketed as bringing the internet to you where and when you want it. I see no reason to call people simpletons. I changed "everyone" to "people" above. AJ was right I shouldn't have generalized his post of "shitload of simpletons" to mean "everyone".

Sprint's Hesse: Spark tri-mode LTE service could eventually provide real-world speeds of 150-180 Mbps http://www.fiercewireless.com/story/sprints-hesse-spark-tri-mode-lte-service-could-eventually-provide-real-worl/2013-12-10 Man look at the comments on the Cnet article. Maybe the Sprint brand name should be abandoned after NV is done.
