Quick question regarding Jail Broken iPhones
chrysokos replied to chrysokos's topic in Apple/iPhone/iOS
Thanks. -
Can you update software when you jail break your iphone? If you can, will you lose anything you may have downloaded? Thanks.

I've been using sensorly for a quite a bit, although I've noticed it doesn't overlap existing coverage if better coverage exists at a later date. For example, one tower on a road has been broadcasting LTE for a while. While the signal is strong near the tower, and a deep purple on the map, further down the road it is weaker and a lighter purple. Now, 4 months later, the other tower down the road a few miles is broadcasting LTE and the signal is much stronger because of that. So, if I re-map this area that had a faint purple, it still shows the faint purple on the map, and not the deep purple stronger signal it should be. Anyone else experience this?

I work for a service center, and a lot of times the part is not available to fix the device. So the only other alternative is to switch the device out through advanced exchange, which can not be done due to the cracked screen. So therefore, an insurance claim must be filed.

You pay $36.00 every time you upgrade a phone and sign a new contract. If you don't buy the phone from Sprint, you will not pay a activation fee, or if decide to use a spare phone you have lying around.

Sprint Charging $10 Fee to Nextel Subs Who Don't Upgrade
chrysokos replied to Kevster1321's topic in General Topics
I work for sprint, its real. Customers began getting letters in the mail this month about the additional fee. Only major corporate accounts that use Nextel are not effected. Customers can choose from any of the current "NEW"" Sprint Direct Connect models to upgrade to for .99 cents. There are also select smart phones available to them for .99 cents also, Evo LTE, GS2, Blackerry Bold, and the Apple iPhone 4S 16GB for $49.99. -
There is no mail in rebate on the S 3. Although there is one for the nexus and victory. I work for Sprint.

I live in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. I also work at a small communications company that specializes in the repairs and sales of Sprint/ Nextel devices, as well as Kenwood and Motorola portable radios. The sheer amount of complaints from Sprint customers has been incredible the last 7 months in Chicago. NV is working in some areas, but some are getting left behind for whatever reason. Areas such as Carol Stream and Glendale Heights, I.L. Things have improved over the last month and continue to get better overall, but people are still dropping calls in areas at a unbelievable amount, compared to before NV. The new Sprint direct connect isn't anywhere near as good as Nextel was before the decommissioning began. I'm not bad mouthing Sprint one bit, I'm just letting the people know who are not in Chicago. Things are much better than a couple months ago, and LTE is great. Completion can't come soon enough though for those customers who have no reception in their homes and are dropping calls in their places of travel.

I have a photon Q in Chicago. I get anywhere from 5mbps up to 30mbps down, and 7 to 17mbps up.
