  1. I'm with Claure, I don't really care about what place they're in as long as everything shows improvement. And everything is improving, so yey.
  2. from a business standpoint it's a relatively safe move considering their competitors do the exact same thing, but it does reality check that 'OMFG WHAT CAN'T T-MOBILE DO!?' stuff, which is refreshing.
  3. I have 2 questions about Sprint in Grand Rapids. 1) Is backhaul still an issue in GR? Was it ever? Or was that congestion on B25? 2) Is tower spacing really a big issue in GR? It seems like my S5 is constantly stuck on 1 bar of B26 when I'm at home (Heritage Hill) or at work (Wyoming at 32nd and Division). Only when I'm in the middle of downtown do I get decent speeds it seems. What could be the cause of this?
  4. from what I've read, Grand Rapids is and has been essentially a perfect storm for terrible Sprint coverage. poor tower spacing and for a long time poor backhaul and a giant hill in the middle of the city. it's been really tough to stay loyal : /
  5. why exactly would they put up equipment and not optimize it then and there? does it really take that long to 'optimize'?
  6. RadioShack owed Sprint something like $6 million before seeking bankruptcy protection. Wouldn't be surprising. They were owed the most next to RadioShack's bank.
  7. if that's the final version, it's pretty much the perfect Android phone. the only problem with the last M8 was the camera and maybe the power button placement, now that they've fixed that, there isn't a single thing I can see wrong with it...assuming battery life is good.
  8. I bought a couple hundred at $4.50, this makes me happy : )
  9. fiercewireless is a T-Mobile fanboy rag.
  10. Here in Grand Rapids, MI I regularly get sub-1mbps on B41 and B26 because of 'backhaul issues'. It's been like that as long as we've had LTE (we were a round 1 market iirc). I wish Sprint would talk more about backhaul : (
  11. I would bet at least half their customer base is millennials. Millennials love data, cheap prices...and casual swearing.
