  1. Hey guys, my wife and I are still with T-Mobile and have relocated to the Lynchburg, VA area. We live pretty close to Lynchburg College and 501. Our experience here with Tmobile has been terrible. I was curious what 3g is like here since I know LTE isnt live yet. Im looking for some real life experiences here. My wife needs a dependable phone and Tmobile isnt providing that right now.
  2. T mobile did drop subsidized phones. I have two Iphones that I am paying for monthly.
  3. I would if T mobile would fix coverage issues I experience in Pennsylvania.
  4. I understand that, but then you need to add in the cost of two devices which is around $20-$35 per device. I was basing mine off of $25 for each phone. Still seems way too high. I might just purchase the phones out right and by insurance with square trade or somewhere else.
  5. How much is your Sprint bill every month? Sprint wants $170 a month for 2 smart phones on unlimited data, text, and talk before taxes and fees are included . I'm paying $150 right now with T-Mobile for the same plan, except with TMobile I have 3GB of tethering and many other options I don't with Sprint. So I was curious what others are currently paying and for how many lines? PS: this price includes the $22 for Sprints phone insurance too.
  6. Me personally, I am all for the merger if it benefits the customers obviously. I think the right people need to be in charge for it to work, but I don't see T-Mobile being able to stay a float without a merger.
  7. I travel up to Coudersport, Pa which is near Potter county, now there is a place where nobody gets service. Eastern, NC is a blackhole as well for Sprint and T mobile.
  8. I couldnt agree more. The carrier is less on the hook, whereas I am completely screwed. I could sell my wifes iphone 6 and my 6 plus but I doubt I would be able to break even. But like I said, 12 months is more than enough time for Sprint to finish up around us and get the network complete. I want to be able to travel on 95 without hitting any 3g from NC to Pennsylvania.
  9. I am one of those people who wants out but I don't want to shell out $1200 to leave. I am going to wait until December for my wife and I to go back to York, Pa and take both of t mobile lines to Sprint. This will give Sprint more than enough time to finish the network in the places we go. T mobile will never cover South Eastern, York county and we go there multiple times a year. Sprint will earn our business!
  10. This is my issue with T-mobile right now. In this exact area, sprint has full Lte and has the area covered extremely well. T mobile has a lot of work to do.
  11. Thank you, itll be a little while before I can donate that but thats good to know.
  12. So question, now that I have access to the maps, I am looking at the towers near my house and they have 3g/800/4g. What exactly does the mean for these towers?
  13. Thank you! We had sprint last year in Wilmington for about 3 months but they were upgrading the network here and we literally couldn't do anything with out phones. It got to the point where if I wasn't on wifi then I couldn't use data at all but since NV is completed, I'm optimistic. Sprint had excellent coverage in Pennsylvania and along 95 on our trip up so we were happy with that. Just sadly, the network was in shambles here in Wilmington. As for me being a sponsor, I'm glad I can contribute! I will be giving money on a monthly basis to help in any way possible because what you guys do is incredible. The interaction between users is something I've been looking for and I have certainly found it here! So thank you.
  14. I live in Wilmington, NC but travel frequently to Delta, Pennsylvania and to York, Pennsylvania. I'm really hoping to join sprint in the next few weeks as i need to convince my wife about us migrating go sprint.
  15. First off, I am new to the site . Secondly, what is a acceptable amount of money to donate to the site? I am a college student and obviously funds are a little low at the moment but I am willing to give some money to help in any way possible. I want to be able to see the upgrades in my area honestly so that I can make the best educated decision on when I should switch my wife and I back to Sprint. Thanks guys!!
  16. I understand, I was just curious if Sprint has started the 800 mhz upgrades. This should be able to penetrate the buildings since my Tmobile phones get lte inside the buildings while I am waiting for class or at the library doing my work. I'm going to head to the sprint store and check out a few phones I think and see what kind of speeds/connection quality they are getting there.
  17. Hey guys, I am new to this thread and am currently looking to switch my family over to Sprint. I am in Wilmington, NC 28405 and trying to figure out if Sprint has deployed 800 mhz in my area yet? I need solid indoor performance since I go to UNCW and the buildings are difficult to penetrate. Any ideas on where sprint is on the upgrades in Wilmington? Thanks and I hope to hear from you guys!
